★★★★★ Excellent BBQ food. One of the best in USA. Variety of food we tried included Chicken tikka, boti, chops, seekh and bihari kababs and it was hard to chose one over the other. Highly recommended. Service is good. Posted on August 20, 2018 |

★★★★☆ Good food but I didn't think that it was similar to the Bundu Khan in pak. Posted on January 23, 2017 |

★★★★☆ The food is very good and spicy. We ordered the lamb chops, beef Bihari, chicken legs, goat kabab and daal with parathas. All items were excellent except goat kababs which were ok. They make perfect parathas. The kulfi was also quite good.
Service is quick except the owners are definitely not helpful to give suggestions/ideas on menu items. Nothing fancy about the place as the key is to get desi BBQ food. Worth a stopover if you are in the area. Posted on October 25, 2015 |

★★★★☆ The food is tasty. Chicken roast and Daal are my favorites. Posted on September 5, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ I wish if I could give them "0" on this review. Pathetic Customer Service.
Pros: good but spicy food
Cons: generally very dirty place, greasy floor of sitting area, foam plates, poor customer service. The person with big belly, dark complexion and white beard, roughly age 60's, does not know how to talk to customers. He misbehaved and was getting angry as I nicely questioned why did you give tables to others when I was waiting in the line before them. He got mad and misbehaved. I felt like that he was ready to throw us out of his restaurant. The only reason I stayed as I had invited guests from overseas۔
Posted on August 20, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ We did not order any chicken kabobs after confirming witht he person at the counter about its method of slaughter. Lamb & Beef kabobs were Ok . Perhaps they can improve ambience of the place. Posted on November 11, 2014 |

★★★★★ BEST PAKISTANI BBQ FOOD I HAVE HAD IN NORTH AMERICA!! IT WAS THE BEST!!!! Beef and Chicken Kababs are to die for, Bihari Kabab and Parathas!!! I love the food... Ambience sucks, owners can be rude but who gives a you know what... the food the food.... Posted on November 8, 2014 |

|
★★★★☆ Food is awesome! Every single item is good. The only draw back is the place is crowded and not very enjoyable. Sometimes I get food to go but occasionally Ill sit and eat and its well worth the trip! The owners tend to be rude when it gets very busy but I don't let it get to me. Those who base their self respect on their interaction with the wait staff at a restaurant are probably dealing with issues beyond the purview of this forum. Posted on July 22, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Love the food and hated the ambiance. Their behari kabab is my favorite. Posted on June 30, 2014 |

★★★★☆ First, the food is amazing. However, they really need to expand to a bigger place. Also, they need better service. I've been here plenty of times and i've never had a problem with the food. I love the bihari kabobs, tikkas, halwa puri, and etc. The food is amazing. That's why i'm giving four stars. However, if you really enjoy your full experience including the quality of service you receive then I would reconsider coming here since i've rarely seen service I was pleased with. ★★★☆☆ We were visiting from Miami Florida , place was packed and wait time was close to 30 mins , so we ordered food before been seated , customer service was good and asked us few times if everything was ok .. price was OK as well.. Food is Ok except beef Boti which was hard and didnt have taste , maybe they need some tenderizer .. Parathas were great will go there again Posted on February 18, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ People rave about this establishment and after our visit we were NOT impressed. Upon entering we were greated by a rude cashier which was later discovered that he was the owner. Ordered goat chops, Bihari kabob and naan. Food was not good at all, the only thing you could taste was the red chilli pepper, absolutely no seasoning. Served tap water from a rusting sink, paper plates and plastic spoons were provided for us to eat with. Note to owner be courteous to your customers and please hire a real chef, the food needs to be fixed. Posted on October 27, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ If you want to be treated like crap while eating over priced albeit usually tasty food then go to Bundu. The owners are the rudest jerks ever. They are high on their success so they take it as a license to treat their customers like garbage. The food is good, no doubt about that but I value my self respect a lot more. After over a year of being a customer, I'm throwing in the towel. I don't have the patience for your ill manners. Your goat chops aren't THAT great that I would choose to degrade myself. ★★★★★ Not the best place to sit, but the food is amazing. I recommend everything they have from Chicken Tika (If you like it spicy they will make it more spicy for you), the seekh kabab, and bihari kabab are also really good. And they have halwa and paratha also. Posted on July 1, 2013 |

★★★★★ Good food and service. Prices are OK. Will return. Posted on June 25, 2013 |

★★★★☆ This place super busy. I went around 3pm for lunch on Saturday, and I thought it would be empty. But the place was crowded and there was a waiting line. The owner was nice and helpful. I soon got a place. The puri paratha was just AMAZING! I have been craving for it and you can't find it anywhere in the US. It's more a Karachi specialty, so I can't understand why many people don't get it.
The seekh kababs were not like the ones in Pakistan, but MUCH better than any I've tried yet in US.
Overall I would recommend this place, but if you don't have an hour to wait around just go for take out. Posted on June 23, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ We went with 3 families, had great time, hang around for ~ 1.5 hour, restaurant was almost empty not too busy, suddenly we were asked that they needed the table ... Gosh we realized we were kicked out... Not sure why? We were decent 3 families with kids and well dressed and behaved ... Will never go there again ... Sad of the way we were treated .... Humiliating .... Posted on June 22, 2013 |

★★★★★ We visited there last year. Food was awesome but service was like desi restaurants. Posted on April 28, 2013 |

★★★★☆ we go to bundu khan every second week, even though the service and ambience need a lot to be desired but the food has never disappointed us, will be back next week Posted on April 7, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Everybody knows that if you want authentic Paki BBQ in USA than Bundu Khan is THE ONLY place to go. We go there at least once a month!
Waiting staff is curtious but same cannot be said about one of the gentlemen behind the counter.
***WARNING
Pleace is very dirty, rest rooms smell to the point that I threwup in my mouth and location in general needs A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT. Posted on January 2, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Best chicken tikka and paratha. My 5 stars for quality/taste of food. The place is small and smokey inside, they definately need much bigger place. Posted on January 1, 2013 |

★★★★☆ food deserves 10 stars.

★★★★★ We drive to houston from Galveston at least once or twice a month and end up eating in Bundu khan on most occasions.
Excellen BBQ dishes. they offer few dishes but all of them are of excellen quality and taste. i am not very excited about their paratha roles since i think the parathas look like frozen parathas available in grocery stores and not actually wheat paratha made in the shop. other than that you can never go wrong with Bundu khan so far. ★★★☆☆ Agree with tamurali...
1. Great food. Behare kabab, paratha, tikka and chapeen are good
2. Pathetic owner and customer service. The person on the counter is rude, ill mannered and has no idea how to deal with people.
3. No point in calling in your food ahead of time
4. Paper cups, paper plates and crapy furniture, nasty bathrooms
5. This guy makes a bunch of money and has no regard for his customers.
6. Extremely overpriced
I am going to give poor rating because people go out to eat to enjoy the experience. Posted on September 2, 2012 |

★★★★★ Excellent pk BBQ, Bihari kabobs and tikka was superb! Posted on June 2, 2012 |

NR Food is great probably the best BBQ place in Houston. However, my biggest gripe is with the owner of this place. He is not a very polite person, as a matter of fact he is a jerk, an ill-mannered, and uncultured person who lacks common tact of customer service. My experiences with him has been less than cordial and due to this very reason I will no longer be spending my hard earned money at this place. Posted on June 2, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Visiting Houston, my friend highly recommended and took me here for dinner. It was very good food. I tried the Bihari kabab, chicken tikka and lamb chops. All were excellent. The paratha's were even better and very unique. The only negative may be the (small) size of the restaurant and smoke from the kitchen. Overall highly recommended and I shall return inshallah. Posted on April 12, 2012 |

★★★★★ This place would remind you of Bundu Khan in Karachi, really good parathas, tikka and kabab - they dont have other menu items other than BBQ. Posted on February 1, 2012 |
|
|
★★★★★ So finally we were able to eat at this place.. i live in austin and every time we go to Houston we wanted to try this place.
After 2 years, we finally got it.
And it is worth it.....since they serve mostly grilled items, we tried the chicken tikka, quail.
5 stars. Posted on December 20, 2011 |

|
★★★★☆ used to go a lot to this place back in houston.. their bihari kabob and parathas were awesome..the only problem was that we used to wait for a at least half an hour and they didnt take order on the phone. Posted on September 13, 2011 |

★★★★★ I went to Bundu Khan on a recent trip to Houston based on a family member's recommendation. It says a lot about a place when someone from your family recommends it. We ordered the Chicken Tikkas, Bihari Kabab, Beef Boti Kabab, and parathays. The food was extremely delicious, fresh, and mouth-watering. The prices weren't bad either and we were extremely glad that we ate at Bundu Khan. This is perhaps one of the most authentic desi BBQ places that I have been to in the US. The place was packed when we got there and when we left. I give this place an A+. Posted on September 12, 2011 |

★★★★★ Been there twice, once before Ramadan, once on the first day of Ramadan. Unfortunately, they are closed for the remainder of Ramadan this year. Both times the food was excellent. I've tried chicken seekh kabab, bihari kabab and a tandoori chicken leg. The naan was fresh and warm. Staff is friendly. Wish they had biryani, qorma and karahi chicken. Highly recommended. Posted on August 18, 2011 |

|
★★★★★ Food is over priced, quantity is alright. However, the taste is excellent. If they lowered the price a bit, I would give it EXCELLENT rating. I will definitely eat here again. Do not try their Lassi. Its horrible! Stick to their Bihari Kababs. Posted on July 26, 2011 |
|
|
★★★★★ need to work on their seating and appearance. Food was AWESOME...deserves excellent based on taste of food Posted on July 10, 2011 |
|
|
★★★★★ Yaar, maza hi aa gaya. Zabardast! This is a place where everyone can enjoy. Not for the weak of heart or ppl who value decor over food. Posted on June 25, 2011 |

|
★★★☆☆ If you grew up in Karachi and ate at Bundu Khan you know the food is of similar standard and quality. Yummy greasy parathas (unless ofcourse you are not a fan of greasy foods). Their Seekh kababs, bihari kebabs and lamb chops are simply delicious. My hubby and I love this place. The food is always to die for.
The only downside to this place is the fact that the food is way too over priced. And the owner needs to make the restaurant better. Its just a bunch of chairs and tables smushed around. The man literally banks on this restaurant so I am sure he can make this place more comfortable and decorate it and move to a bigger place. The place can't loose business no matter where it relocates in Houston.
5 stars for food.
2 stars for the look of the restaurant and prices Posted on March 11, 2011 |

|
★★★☆☆ Parathas, Puris, and Bihari Kabobs are good. Everything else is mediocre and dry. Kind of overpriced. Posted on November 23, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★☆ This is a place for those that love their kebabs -- no rice dishes from what i recall, purely bbq and naan : delicously prepared. Seating was ok, not a family sit down type of environment although they have upgraded their setup from what I am told. Worth a try for those who enjoy bbq flavors. Posted on September 25, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ Let me tell you that I went to this place twice with my wife and paid for items for pickup and he charged me for them but did NOT include the items. Both times I called him and he did not believe me. I even told him I have the receipt. Just make sure to check you pickup order before you pickup. Food was nice, but service very deceptive. ★★★☆☆ I recently went back to this restaurant, and found that I LOVE THEIR KABABS!!! Reminds me of a restaurant that was sold to the owners of Marcos restaurant back in the early 90's, What is the recipe? Posted on June 21, 2010 |
|
|
★★★★☆ I have to echo the same opinion as others, good food, but portions leave a bit to be desired. when you look at a clump of a few meats for $7 a plate compared to other restaurants where you get a whole dish, kinda seems over priced. Food is good though and great paratas Posted on March 23, 2010 |

|
★★★★☆ Food takes a long time to arrive, tasty chicken boti kebabs and paratha...portions a bit small though Posted on December 27, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Historically any restaurant at this particular building or location has been dirty and this new place has kept the tradition alive. I slipped ( but managed not to fall down ) a few times on the greasy floor and saw a few other customers do the same. I guess my past experience with skating helped here a lot.
Food though is very good. Choices are limited but they make up for this shortcoming by good taste. The portions are not Texas big but Rhode Island small. The guy behind the counter reminded me of the soup Nazi. He did not smile only talked to one customer at a time and looked like he was about punch someones lights out. I am sure he is a very good guy but he should be a little more courteous. Apparently he drives a Hummer H2 which is Masha'ALLAH good but he should invest the gas money that he uses up a month for that truck and invest it in keeping the place clean. Forgot to mention that the place is expen$$ive. With a party of six with a few little kids, we ended up spending upwards of $140 !! and we even did not get any soft drinks. Posted on October 13, 2009 |

★★★★★ Very basic menu...and the service very slow. The parathas are the best...just like the original bundu khan in Pakistan. The kababs are quite good as well as their tikkas. Posted on August 8, 2009 |
|
|
★★★★★ amazing food, bread - but very basic. they don't have an extensive menu, but what they do have is excellent. instead of being all things to everyone, they've decided to specialize in a few key items and that has done well for them. wish we had a comparable establishment in the dallas area.
two things to be aware of. the place is small. very small. by texas standards it's even smaller.
the second thing is that the portions are not that large, and thus it ends up being pricey. either that or i was starving and wanted to load up. Posted on July 1, 2009 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ I have been to this place once and my overall experience was good. The food quality was good; however, the service could be improve and place can be more clean and presentable. Posted on June 19, 2009 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ good kabobs but very small quantity for the price they sell it.Also owner should be more friendly to customers and smile more. Posted on November 14, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★☆ Food was really good, but expensive. We ordered some kabob rolls to go, and they were $10 each!! Also they need better a/c, very hot in restaurant. Posted on July 20, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★☆ The food is very good. The management remains very unfriendly and serious. They need to hire more persons to take care of their growing business. The place remains quite hot specially in summer because they cook in the dining hall itself. A little change in attitude can do wonders to this place. Posted on July 6, 2008 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ I eat out at many restaurants in houston, and one late night I was craving some food, so I decided to come here. The atmosphere wasnt too great, seems like a dirty place. The selection isnt too great, and you cant choose on how you want the food, because it is made earlier in the day, and then cooked when you want it. So you can only have it spicy, no mild. Although the place does do great business, I would say to try somewhere else first before you try this place. Posted on April 16, 2008 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ bar-b-q items good. Small portion size compared to other desi restaurants. Posted on January 2, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★☆ Positives: Clean, smell free, tasty food, respectfull but overly sober aura.
Negatives: Serving per plate (quantity) un-wholesome, served on paper plates and plastic cutlery by overly serious smile-less management and staff. The spindly needle sized seekh kabobs may be the the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
Suggestion: Some low key light instumental Pakistani / Indian background music (sitaar / tablaa), proper plates and cutlery and lots of smiles. Increase food quantity and garnish each plate serving to make it wholesome. Posted on July 1, 2007 |

★★★★★ What can I say. I have been there 4 times in 2 months. I mean its great food. the parathas are finger lickin good. the bihari kabab are great but they work on the halwa. chicken tikka is not spicy which is good for me. and the best thing about the place specially a desi place. A TOILET WHICH IS CLEAN !! Posted on October 15, 2006 |

★★★★☆ Nice restaurant in the Pakistani part of town, has a very basic menu but that is a good thing here. The parathas are the best in town and the kabobs are quite good. If you crave Bundu Khan in Karachi, this is the place for you. Posted on September 19, 2006 |
