★★★☆☆ Good food but 2 things forced me to rate it a 3 - the price and the customer service Posted on July 5, 2015 |

★★★☆☆ Great ambiance, portions are small, good customer service! The yogurt drink wasn't all that, it was too salty and watered down. Posted on November 4, 2014 |

★★☆☆☆ I was not happy with my experience here. The owners were not welcoming at ALL when we walked in; no smile, no welcome, they just watched us as we took our seats and waited for the rest of our group to arrive. Also, where are all the waiters? It felt like there was no one in the entire restaurant except these two guys which felt weird and unprofessional. Suddenly as we sat down and began to take a few pictures, the owners dimmed the lights to a level that it was hard to see. We asked them if they could turn it up a bit and they replied no because customers like it that way. Um.. WE ARE THE ONLY CUSTOMERS IN THIS ENTIRE RESTAURANT AND WE DON'T LIKE IT THAT WAY!! Next was the food. Bland, not very tasty, and overall small. I finished it and wasn't full yet. For it's prices I had assumed that there would be more food. But the worst part was when we tried paying the check; they told us that they wouldn't do separate checks... Excuse me? I have NEVER been to a restaurant where they don't do separate checks, or even if they do, they should have informed us when they saw that we were a big group and BEFORE we started eating! Additionally, they charged us an extra $30 for bringing outside cake! A matter which they also should have told us about BEFOREHAND! And to top it all off, after finally convincing them that the only way we could pay was through separate checks, they agreed, but said that they would charge $1 extra per card. Wow. Complete rip off, absolute WORST experience I have EVER had at any restaurant. It's a shame really since they have a nice-looking restaurant, but they are in deep need of a management check because the service and food quality was just awful. My party of 20 and I will not be returning. The ONLY reason I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 is because they are a halal restaurant, and I appreciate that fact. But that's it. ★★★★☆ Really nice place and the owners are really good people. Got the chicken kabob to go w/ chick peas. The chicken was good could have used alittle more seasoning to bring out the flavor. Posted on February 12, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Probably the most authentic Afghan restaurant in the DC area (and trust me, there are a lot!). The chicken and kubideh kababs are close to excellent. I recommend Posted on December 21, 2010 |

★★★★★ My father and my uncle own the place, and by far it's my favorite middle eastern restaurant around the Northern VA area. What's great about this place is that not only is there really good food, but the place is actually really nice as well. I highly recommend this place. Just yesterday a customer ordered food to go and less then an hour later came back and got some more. You won't be disappointed. Posted on July 22, 2010 |

★★★★☆ One of the nicest ambiances of any zabihah restaurant in the DC area. The food is decent. The owners are welcoming. The fresh tandoori bread is pretty good - different than the typical nan. The regular kubideh is better than the spicey one. Posted on May 22, 2010 |
