★★★☆☆ Yeah in regards to the previous comments, the food, products, and prices are very good. The facility is very clean. Their flat breads are amazing and are made in house from scratch.
Saharas has made consistent improvements overall in terms of quality and cleanliness. However I have also experienced this strange type of stern, stone face, customer service at the cash register and meat department. Not very friendly. Sometimes they get young, friendly, energetic, employees but they don't last long. Restaurants usually have high turnover rates.
The owners are the two tall twin brothers. They are extremely friendly but they don't tend to customers. I guess they can't be everywhere. Posted on August 6, 2015 |

★★★★☆ We have been going to Sahara market for a couple of years now. They have consistently improved the service and store overall. The afghan restaurant which is part of the store is awesome. Chicken kabobs and Bolani are top notch. If you are in the Dublin/San Ramon area give them a try. Posted on January 20, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Like the previous poster I also had a bad experience here recently. Long story short, they made a mistake on my restaurant order and instead of trying to correct it the store manager (shaved head gentleman) created a big scene in front of everyone while telling me it was my fault. He then followed me to register when I was paying and he and the restaurant employee both loudly blamed me for the incorrect order in front of all the customers.
I'm not sure if ownership has changed recently but this market used to be a gem. I'm hoping it was just a bad day for the manager. Mistakes happen on both sides but his response was unacceptable. I'll be back there sometime and if things are in order will update this review. Posted on May 22, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ Updated review on 3/26/13: I have downgraded my rating to 1 star out of 5 stars. The meat market is a joke. It is very expensive, and the customer service is horrible. I asked the guy behind the meat counter if they could separate my order into several bags so I don't have 10lbs of meat in one bag. Simple request, right? I was shocked when the guy said we don't do this. He said, I will give you the bags, and you can do it at home yourself. I said, NO, YOU do it. This is what a meat market is supposed to do. That is why we pay close to $5/lb for ground beef. Anyhow, I was turned off and will not be buying meat from there anymore. I do not recommend. The restaurant, on the other hand is good, and I give it 4/5. Posted on March 26, 2013 |

★★★★★ I give this a 5 only for the restaurant, the store, and the naan. Posted on January 1, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Drive by this place and saw they had a restaurant which I hadn't seen before so it must be new. I had their Chapli kabob lunch special and it was delicious!!! The rice was alright, it had some crunchiness to it (must be from mixing the rice that gets cooked to the bottom of the pot rice with the rest of the rice). But it was still delicious. Prices were reasonable too and afterward you can do some grocery shopping. I ended up getting the Karoun mint yogurt drink and the combination was excellent. Posted on December 19, 2012 |

★★★★★ I have been to this market several times. I have eaten lunch here a couple of times as well. Yesterday I had the Tandoori Chicken with Rice and a can of Coke. It cost about $13.93 which is a littler higher than what one would expect for lunch for one person. The food was good. All food is prepared in an open area which is nice. The meat section has a wonderful selections of meats...marinated chicken, goats, lamb and beef. The market itself offers a huge variety of goods. I observed a lot of folks coming in for the fresh breads and meats. The store and restaurant is very clean. The gentleman at the register was very polite even though he was quite busy checking lots of folks out. Highly recommend supporting this business. Posted on December 6, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Went here for lunch after Jummah one time and ordered the Chapli Kabob Lunch Special which came with a very large Chapli Kabab, your choice of white or pillaw rice, small salad and chutney. I also got a soda can. Everything was under $9.00 in total. Everything was very good. The seating area is right next door to the halal meat market and grocery shop. Looks like a very clean and organized place. Posted on June 7, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Just tried there potatoe Bolani and Chapli kabobs. Both were really good, getting very close to good afghan food from Fremont. Posted on March 24, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ This market just opened up not too long ago. Little Afghan market, its nice, and they also have a kabob house inside and a bakery. The bread is not the same as the one at Maywand Market, but its ok. Nobody greeted me when I walked in the door, which is something I always look at when going into a market. The meat did not look that fresh to me. Its average, so I go every once in a while when I'm in desperate need of cooked kababs. Over all its ok. Posted on March 23, 2009 |
