★★★★☆ Once again, a delicious carryout experience. A variety of halal meats are available that you can pair with their traditional thick crust or a thinner crust, which is still at least half an inch thick! Assume an hour for your food to be ready, maybe faster, but it\'s worth the wait and will fill you up quickly. We mixed sausage with pineapple and separately combined pepperoni sausage and peppers. There are many more combinations for us soon. Posted on February 17, 2021 |

★★★★★ Halal Giordano\'s !!!! yeah. Excellent tasting food, good service level\'s over-all. I was surprised to see all the negative comments, been there only a few times over the last 1.5 years as it is a bit of a drive away from us and always had a good experience. We are a family of 5 and a few times we went with friends and they were happy to accommodate our large party as space became available. Overall, the food is great and would definitely drive up there again. Posted on February 9, 2021 |

★☆☆☆☆ The WORST experience have ever had. They were rude, disrespectful and unprofessional. there is NO reason I would return to the place. They closed dine in area two hours before and told us it was all reserved, we ate in our car watching the restaurant until they closed and NO ONE showed. When we were ordering they were extremely rude. Being the only halal Giordano’s does not mean you can disrespect anyone who comes in. They need to get off of their high horses. Will not be going back. Posted on February 7, 2021 |

★☆☆☆☆ Don\'t cancel your order if you pay with a credit card. They will not refund you. Even if you call the restaurant directly to cancel it with over 90 mins to spare. Still waited for the 5-7 day processing. 2 weeks later, I\'m still calling the restaurant, asking to speak to a dodgy owner to refund me.rnrnI order a pizza online about 4 hours ahead of time. I hear that the ones I intended to share it with were already bringing food. I called to cancel the order with over an hour and a half lead time, asking if they have made it already (they hadn\'t) and to cancel the order. rnrnI get a call from a different person 15 minutes after the intended pick- up time informing me that my order was ready. So there goes their organization and communication skills. I get charged for the pizza I never wanted or picked up. rnrnThe order was placed Sunday, the charge is still there on Friday, so I give the place a call. I get the owner. Great, I thought I can maybe I can get my money back faster. I was wrong. Sahead, or Sayed, (spelling) told me, condescendingly, that \"You\'re not understanding me. Even if it processed in your bank, it takes 5-7 business days for the refund to go through. Trust me, I don\'t mess with credit cards. This is a reputable establishment.\"rnrnI\'m writing this on August 6th. The charge was finalized July 21st. Still no money back. Posted on August 6, 2020 |

★☆☆☆☆ This business transaction was unIslamic. I had the most traumatic experience at this Giordano's because of the owner. He was condescending, rude, and arrogant. This man does not know how to speak to another human being. He demanded I PAY TWICE FOR A $70 PIZZA order that should have already been halal as indicated in the Zabihah and CraveHalal apps (FYI they've updated the Zabihah app after this incident, but at the time, made me believe they had no control over this). I attempted to tell him about the misleading apps and he became irrational and argumentative. He tried to mansplain. I have NEVER felt so disrespected in my life. It's clear owner has a problem- see yelp reviews. No Muslim woman should be treated how I was by this Muslim brother. I advise that no woman....human being...enter the store alone to face him. @salmanhassan360 , judging by the number of unfavorable reviews about you on yelp......you need to correct these problems immediately if you want to stay in business. ★★★★★ I was very excited to get an email informing me that an establishment like Giordanos now offers Zabihah options!
They offer a nice list of halal meats: pepperoni, salami, sausage, gyro, etc. they also offer a few halal apps like chicken tenders, that are fried separate from the main menu options. Hopefully, with more Muslim/Halal interested patrons they will offer their normal menu apps as an option.
The ambience is nice, classic Giordanos with a modern twist. Unlike the locations much closer to me, this one is much smaller and can’t exactly accommodate a very large group but it is still cozy. There is always carry-out and possibilities of catering options.
Des Plaines is not as close to my location as I would like but I would definitely make the trip again to get best of both worlds (Giordanos and Zabihah options).
So what did we order? We classic Giordanos stuffed pizza with halal sausage and spinach, along with chicken tenders and salad. The sausage was the real deal!!
I was very skeptical that the flavor wouldn’t cut it but I was WRONG! It was properly seasoned Italian styled sausage with fennel and all. Posted on March 12, 2019 |
