★★★★★ With limited choices of halal restaurants, this is the place to go! This is one of the only true halal restaurants that do not serve alcohol in the area. The tandoori chicken Posted on June 14, 2015 |

NR Pros: Tandoori chicken is the best in town.
Cons: Worst service. No one greets; They spill food on table when serving; Harsh behavior from the waitress!!! Posted on June 2, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ Ambiance is nice for a halal restaurant and this explains why it caters to non-Muslim clientele. The food is mediocre and the service for Muslims is terrible. The two white tables I sat near had constant attentive service, while the same server came by our table very rarely. Not a great experience and will not return. I've heard this same complaint from others. Posted on January 8, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ The food is good. But don't expect to be welcome and well behaved if you are from middle east. It seems that the people there don't like to see non-Americans in their restaurant! Posted on February 25, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ I went for the first time on Saturday 12/29. This is nice clean place. Service was good. Food was served very nicely in a platter. Nan and side dishes were very good.
I ordered grilled beef sirloin (was $12 or 13). The quality of meat was one of the worst. It was cooked fine but seems like they purchased the lowest / cheapest quality meat.
I did not see any halal sign either outside the restaurant or on the menu but it is possible that I missed it. The waitress said that they serve halal meat.
Bottom line, I would never go there again. Posted on December 29, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Afghan fine dining located close to the University. There is ample parking and situating adjacent to an econolodge. The exterior does seem a bit bare bones however the interior is exquisitely pleasant. Rarely will you see a halal restaurant of such culturally rich decor while maintaining a contemporary feel. There is a main dining room but also a smaller more private room with booths. We had the samosa goshti, not much of a samosa more like a ground beef and onion pastry. The borani boranjan may not sound good on paper but it was delicious. For entrees we had kofta kabob and chicken kabob with a side of spinach. Even our two year old devoured the chicken and rice. We also ordered the lamb kabob The chickpeas were really good but the spinach was a bit bland. (If you are desi, you will find the cuisine is a bit milder in terms of spices). Their firni is also pretty good, but pretty standard. A welcome addition to any halal restaurant scene. Posted on June 13, 2011 |
