HALAL SUMMARY
The owners of this restaurant are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status.
★★★★★ Whilst this place doesn’t look like much at first glance it definitely lived up to the multitude of reviews on different websites. We all had the Khoi Soi noodle soup and it was just great. A little on the spicy side but what can you expect in Thailand. If in the area you should visit. Posted on November 20, 2017
★★★★★ My first taste of "Khao Soi" at Khao Soi Islam recently can only be described as heavenly. Other dishes such as chicken fried rice are only average. This place is only open during lunchtime, until about 2/3 pm. Posted on March 5, 2012
★★★★★ Chiang Mai has a significant minority of Yunnanese-Chinese Muslims and their specialty curry noodle "khao soi" is very popular. Enjoying khao soi is a must for any visit to Chiang Mai. The area around Ban Haw Mosque is lined with several restaurants selling khao soi. In the morning, there are stalls selling good Yunnanese breakfast too, including a specialty rice curd eatened with peanuts and condiments. Posted on August 5, 2006
