Mohammed Hawari and his wife Nesrine came to America with a dream to transform Middle Eastern food in the US. They had a desire to provide authentic and delicious recipes from their hometown of Nazareth Israel. With their many homemade recipes originating from their families they established Kareem's Restaurant in 1996. For eight-teen successful years they have lived their dream in catering the healthiest and most delicious foods to their costumers. Mohammed unfortunately passed away in 2012 after his battle with cancer. Nesrine now works alongside with her three children to continue their mission to serve the most authentic and delicious middle eastern food worldwide. ★★★★★ This may be my new favorite shawarma place in Anaheim. I love shawarma, but feel like I've been in a shawarma rut recently. Lots of place are fine, but it's been so long since a place absolutely blew me away. This place absolutely blew me away. Try their "Catch Feelings Chicken" sandwich. It's not a traditional shawarma. Maybe that's why it resonated so much with me; it's not more of the same, but something new.
A shawarma made with chicken, hummus, pita croutons, feta,
pickled onions, green onions, lettuce, tomato, garlic sauce, and chipotle sauce, all packaged into a spinach wrap. I'll concede, not a traditional shawarma. Let's just call it a chicken sandwich. But absolutely amazing. Posted on May 15, 2023 |

★★★☆☆ Kareem's is a cozy little family restaurant. The service is definitely hit or miss, but the food is authentic and hearty. The portions are good, and ingredients are fresh. Go for the food, and be prepared to have to ask for the little things you'd rightfully expect at any eatery, like napkins, proper utensils, and food being served at the same time to everyone in your party. Sometimes, it takes a bit of effort to coax a smile out of the owner, too. Posted on May 22, 2017 |

★☆☆☆☆ Poor service! Expensive food!
I had to wait very long to get the food.It came without any salad or sauce. They only give bread ( which was cold) with food, for rice you have pay separate.
It is run by a couple of ladies in a very casual way and mismanaged way.
The place did not looked clean either.
I would not recommend.
