★★★★☆ This is not located in the best possible strip of businesses and is more like a hole in the wall type of restaurant. But the food is authentic Lebanese and very good. Their Mandi is excellent as well as kabobs and baked Chicken etc. rnThe first time I tried them was during the month of Ramadhan when they offer an all you can eat buffet for $25 per person. rnThe food was plentiful and there was a nice variety of appetizers and three different types of soups, cream of mushroom was the best amongst them.rnTaking a Star away from them due to a few issues that I would like to bring to their attention and I hope that they are reading these comments.rnFirst of all the appetizers were brought out on the buffet table about 40 minutes before iftaar time and were not covered, as a result the baked and fried items became ice cold due to the very cold wind blowing that evening.rnSecond, the lady at the counter treats everyone as a suspect. Maybe because they had bad experiences due to their locaiton in the past. We were made to feel like that we were going to eat and then make a run for it without paying. They charge you money before you sit down, which I guess is fine.. and then they give you a plate and a bowl for soup. She told us that it was the only way for them to know, who has paid or not (by looking at the plate in front of each person seated)rnHowever they don\'t give our extra plates for the buffet. That is a big no, even when COVID-19 was not around. It is general restaurant etiquette that a fresh plate be made available every time a customer goes back for food. rnComing back to the food, again it was of very high quality and the taste was very good. I have been to Lebanese restaurants all over the US and this is by far one of the top few places that I can recall. rnI would definitely be going back there again when the staff is not so much stressed out by serving a buffet meal during Ramadan. ★★★★☆ I would totally come back here. Looking at other people's reviews, it's so interesting to see repeated reference to how "fresh" the food here is. I totally agree. That's exactly the word that comes to my mind in describing this place. It's incredibly fresh. Just thinking about it, I want to go again. There's a ton of competition on Brookhurst, but if you haven't been, definitely give this place a shot. Freshest food I've had on Brookhurst, for sure. Posted on August 13, 2018 |

★★★★★ Ordered the chicken plate with rice and hummus and salad. It was very fresh and good at 11:30pm. Good food. Ok service. We ordered fatoosh too which was very good, a little on the sour side, but good. Posted on July 31, 2015 |

★☆☆☆☆ I would strongly recommend NOT TO GO to this restaurant, for the following reasons:
We went to Al-Wadee with our family on Christmas Eve this year and was greatly disappointed.
· The food was undercooked and tasteless
· The staff was very rude and unprofessional
· It was a total waste of money, hey had pre made burger patties that were rock solid. This terrible burger had a hidden cost of whopping 9 dollars plus tax - 3.99 for burger patty plus 3.99 to add fries and a drink plus extra 50C for a slice of cheese.
· They charged 20% of gratuity for a party of 8, absolutely not deserving for their meager or no servicing staff.
· the big ladies there were very rude and loud
· They had no respect that we had elders and the food that was bought was not cooked and required attention.
In summary "DON'T GO here to eat" it is total waste of time and money. I pray for them and wish the staff learns to take customer criticisms and improve their attitude and food quality. Posted on December 27, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went to this Resturant and came back with such horrible experience. The food was horrible and was not cooked throughly. Meat was not only raw but stale also! On top of serving horrible undercooked food the owner was not able to take criticism and started arguing with us! Never going back and would recommend not to deal with their illiterate staff. ★★★★☆ I have been here a few times. The first two times I went here their burgers were a nice thickness but the third time they were thin. I dont know if that was just that day but the thick version is nice. I have also ordered their chicken kebab recently. I prefer another restaurant for that because I feel the other provides more flavor but the size was decent. I like their salads as they are fresh. Friendly service. Posted on August 22, 2014 |

★★★★☆ Very nice for fresh food.. Would certainly recommend it for real authentic lebanese food. It family run business and would believe their meat is HALAL. clean fresh and real food ... Only slightly more oil and fat in the the heavy big meal. Posted on September 30, 2013 |

★★★★★ It's a very nice family owned restaurant. During my vacation to OC this was one of the places i visited and was very satisfied with food and service. Our kids enjoyed their food as well as we did. Posted on September 17, 2013 |

NR Tasty food and service with a big smile. Not a fancy but nice place to enjoy your halal meal, prepared fresh by a Muslim family and offered at reasonable price. They are open late hours which was a relief for me. When in area I may revisit them, insha-Allah. Posted on May 20, 2012 |

★★★★☆ It's no fancy restaurant, but the food is pretty good. Fattoush was one of the best I had in a while and really fresh. Chicken shish tawook was tender but could have done with more flavour. Shwarma was OK, i'd give it 3 out 5. The lady at the counter was nice but not really focused. I would go back again! Posted on February 9, 2012 |

★★★★☆ As other reviewers have mentioned, food here is quiet delicious. This place is more on the casual side with informal dining arrangement and ambiance. Worth checking this place out if you're in the area. Posted on January 4, 2012 |

★★★★★ the food here is very delicious especially the grape leaves, the shawarma , and the best cheese burgers Posted on August 22, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Proly closer to 3.8. The price was reasonable. The service was fine. The bread is fresh and delicious. Enjoy olives and hummus and rate that 4.5. however, bread olives and hummus are not the whole meal, and so it gets drooped a point or so due to slightly above far entree of rice, a bean soup and some chicken. ★★★★★ I was almost in a flavor ecstasy after having a beef shawarma at this restaurant. The bread is made fresh in front of you (Very Rare in the world) , the meat is cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the fix-ins included would put any Greek or Turkish man to shame. The textures and depth of flavor left me yearning for more. The staff was very charming also. This place got me hooked to Lebanese food.
Sadly, now that I've had this wonderful food, every other shawarma I will taste will be deemed inferior for the rest of my life...
You people in the OC are super lucky to have this restaurant :P Enjoy! Posted on October 17, 2010 |
