Tired of the same old fareı Fancy something differentı Why not try Selera Bistro for a delightful and flavour-some Malaysian cuisines. Selera Bistro is the only authentic Malay restaurant in the UK North East. For many years, Malaysian food has found its home in London and in other UK major cities. It was only in the recent years that Malaysian food has gained its popularity upon the crowning of Ping Coombes as MasterChef champion 2014. Another Malaysian has also made it to the quarter finals of MasterChef UK 2018. Selera Bistro offers authentic and mouth-watering cuisines of Malaysia which has many similarities and roots to the Indonesian, Singapore and Brunei cuisines. Our cooking traditions and practices utilise herbs and spices found in Malaysia and tropical countries in order to ensure the taste are no different than those in Malaysia. Our menu spread reflects the unique multi-ethnic makeup of our population which include Malay, Chinese, Indian and some ethnic groups in Borneo. Being a British colony between the 18th and 20th century, there are many UK historical and cultural influenced into the Malay traditions. We are located right in Aberdeen city centre, the UK & North Sea oil city at 19 Correction Wynd which is just off Union Street, beside Kirk of St Nicholas. Our Bistro is situated in a serene place suitable for relaxation and to catch-up with friends & families, whilst still in the vicinity of city centre facilities and major transportation access.

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The restaurant succeeds in transferring me to a Malaysian setting. As you enter you are greeted with free travel guides and reading materials on Malaysia; giving you the opportunity to do some exploring while you wait to be served. The place is very clean and beautifully decorated. They really deliver of their food in that it is both delicious and a unique expeirence. This restaurant brings you the chance to try original Malasyian cuisine. Last but not least, the staff are incredibly friendly and polite. I can\'t recommend this place enough. Furthermore, I am very happy with the prayer facility included in the restaurant. I wish more places would have prayer facilities.
Authentic Malaysia Halal food. Closest flavours and tastes of Malaysia in Aberdeen, the rare few in the entire UK. There is also a musallah here that can fit 3 or 4 ppl, with wudhu facilities
Food is good, environment is serene. The rendang is superb, we had two portions of that. Laksa is great, smells fresh and tasty They also have prayer room and small place for ablution. Looks like 3 guys can fit in.
