Staff confirmed chicken and lamb to be zabihah (stamp on purchased meats). Alcohol served; food is not really turkish since the original owner appaetently sold it. Small place very touristic. Mostly tourist. Parking in garage nearby.

Came here for conference. There were no signs for halal as previously noted in reviews. The waiter didn't know what "halal" was, but he was very nice and asked the chef, who said only the lamb is halal. The decor is nice. Food taste and portions were good. We had the red lentil soup and ottoman casserole. The waiter also gave us recommendations for places to go in PR. One negative, they do serve alcohol.

Me and my friend were in San Juan, PR in mid June 2011 for a medical conference and this was the ONLY halal restaurant in whole of San Juan. Since i have tasted real Tuskish cuisine in Istanbul many times so it was easy for me to make comparison. The location is good and the interior is decorated in traditional Turkish style. The food was good ( But NOT excellent) and was a bit pricey . The place is run by two friends from Turkey ( Originally from Azerbaijan) and they get their certified Halal Lamb meat imported from Australia. The only downside was that they also served Alcohol and non Halal Chicken. But if you are in San Jaun and would like to eat Halal meat , this is your only Bet

When we visited Puerto Rico in June we were looking for a halal place to eat. I searched Zabihah.com and found this place. We went to this restaurant during lunch time after a visit to Old San Juan. I asked the server and he told me that lamb was halal. The prices were $3-4 less than what the other reviewer mentioned. The lamb tasted good and presentation was good as well. We also tried bakhlava and Turkish Yogurt. Note that this restaurant serves alcohol.

We visited Puerto Rico for the first time and could find only one halal restaurant. The food was excellent and the presentation great. The restaurant is located in a very convenient location in Old San Juan very close to where cruise ships dock. The staff was friendly and cooperative in-spite of place being very busy. We were told by staff that only lamb is zabihah and chicken is not. Be prepared to pay a premium price, being in a touristic area, as a normal plate can be around $17 plus.
