Mom's Spice

I am an old patron of this place when it was in Irving before they had to move to Hurst due to a project that cut through their shop. Ever since then I have always craved their chicken tandoori and beef/chicken biryani which used to be the cheapest yet one of the most well seasoned of what I have had in DFW. I have gone to their new location a few times after that and still had the same great experience in food. Their prices have gone up after the shift in location but I havent experienced a compromise in freshness or quality which can be a bit spicy and oily for those not used to it. I have seen the same Bengali brother who used to manage the old location. Also the place they are running from is attached to a gas station and is therefore very modest like their old location used to be. They have some tables setup in this section and a kitchen area where they take and deliver the orders. I usually prefer take-outs and call 45 minutes in advance to order as the tandoori takes time. If they would move back to Irving I'd get their tandoori chicken & biryani regularly. I am rating them 4 stars for the distance and the lack of a nice restaurant type setting but their food is well worth going back to again.
