For God sake get a renovation and change your chef!

Great food. Try their Karahi, Chicken Chargha, Biryani, Daal fry, Kababs. All are excellent. Since Sufi Sahib has started cooking the food, things have dramatically changed. Their Doodhpati chai is a befitting end to a satisfying meal. Would very strongly recommend .

Food is very good. Place is clean and price is right. I definitely recommend the place.

I moved in to this neighborhood and found this restaurant, Went there with family and we were happy we walked in. Food Quantity and Quality both are extremely satisfying and the "Price is Right" too... I am hooked!

Well, after hearing about shahi restaurant we went to try it, we ordered some traditional indian dishes and wings. And you know the taste was so good that now i am a regular coustomer at shahi restaurant. I would recommend every one either vegans or non just to try this restaurant and you wouldnt regret it.

After listening through friend about their tandoori Wings, I went to try. It was of great taste and I just asked myself why I didnt know about this place before. Now I am a regular coustomer here and food realy tastes as it is said. I will recommend everybody to come atleast once and try their food.

I had a their Tandoori hot wings, they were so delicious and their chicken Biryani just like back home taste. The owner is one of the friendliest person . I really enjoyed the food . I have been there like almost every other day to eat kabab. kabab is best in town. of course forget to mention that their Kashmiri tea is best in NJ.

My friend and I went here for lunch thinking that we will get decent food. We ordered sheesh kabob rolls and samosas. The food in my opinion wasn't even decent. As a Pakistani, I felt that the food was too bland and didn't have the right touch of spices. The kabab rolls weren't put together properly and most importantly it took a while to make. I don't think I'll be going there again

food was extremely good. this restaurant is recommended for family and friends.price was so lowest.I love their lahori churga and lahori fish and of course their chicken tikka biryani. I had their traditional break fast halwa poori. kashmiri tea ever before give a try you will enjoy it.

This restaurant was sold early 2007, new owner was supposed to change the name but he changed from Shahi Kabab to Shahi Restaurant. I don't know why Zabihah allowed them to carry over the comments which were intended to the original restaurant/owner/cook. The food used to be excellent that time and now it's hit or miss but definitely not excellent. But I don't understand why people complain about seating it's 25 seating restaurant with avg. price $6-7/dish and still people find it expensive too.

The food tasted great -- homestyle as if your mother / aunt were cooking. We had traditional pakistani breakfast there (poori halwa). The owners were exceptionally nice and hospitable and we were happy to provide patronage. I would agree that this is a take out (not sit in) place to eat. Call in advance and place a take out order (no dining experience though the food tastes good). The food is also in some cases a bit overpriced though the quality is good.

Food was extremely bad. Felt like they sold me left overs. Naan were old too. This restuarant is not recommended for families. The owners are nice but they just dont seem capable of handling the food business. I went to this restuarant after reading so many good comments but now I feel that most of these comments are fake. This place is like a takeout but I am totally not convince with their food.
