I tried the gyros here. There's something that's just not right with the taste, like something's missing. I prefer Boston Shawarma to this place for shawarmas/ gyros.

It's an okay place but the meat ratio in the shawarma and rolls are on the low side. I'd rather pay a little more and get some more meat then search for it.

At Moody's Falafel, everything BUT the falafel is good. Try the hummus, chicken and ground beef kababs. You can get it in a platter or sandwich. I have been here twice and asked the owner on both ocassions if everything is halal, and both times he assured me that everything is halal (this review was edited 3/18/11).

The person at the counter told me that the chicken is NOT halal, only the beef/lamb gyro is halal. I ordered it and it was the worst gyro that I've ever had in this country! I could not eat it, it was like chewing rubber, and i had to throw it away. I will go back to try their Falafel though.

I asked the guy at the counter if the food was halal, and he said "of course". I also saw a legitimate-looking sticker from a halal meat company posted on the counter. There were verses from the Qur'an hanging up on the walls, too (not that this necessarily means that the meat is halal, but it made his claim more believable). I had the kafta kebab sandwich on a pita, and I thought it was very good. It had lettuce, tomatoes, tahini sauce, onions, and pickles (an interesting touch); just add mustard and it's a less-messy version of a hamburger!

Unfortunately the falafel here isn't as good as at Shawarma King, despite the name of the restaurant. It isn't as fresh and is kinda dry. The gyros are good though.

They told me the chicken and the lamb is halal...not sure if that includes everything. Be sure to double check.

i went there this past weekend with some friends and the food was nothing too brag about. After we finished eating, we were sitting around playing cards just for fun. After about an hour, this dude comes up to us and says "what are you guys doing", "you cant do this here", blah blah blah. He did not introduce himself as the owner until after already rudely confronting us. He basically kicked us out of his place for no apparent reason. He has every right to do so i guess, but he was extremely impolite about it. i do not plan on ever going back to this place. the food was disgusting, the store was extremely filthy. the reason we went there was because we thought it was a muslim establishment. oh how wrong we were.

It seems that this restaurant is not halal. According to a sister, on one occasion they told her the chicken was halal, on a second occasion they said that none of the meat was halal.

Good food, good service, and cheap. But they have little seating.

The guy at the counter said the food was halal, the food was pretty good, not very expensive, although I ate there, I would suggest people ask again to make sure that it is halal.
