Assalamu Alaikum. This restaurant is highly recommended. We were traveling from NC to NY on I-95 and decided to eat dinner here based on other reviews. We are glad we did. From I-95, it took less than 10 minutes to get there. Food was great. Kids loved it too. They have a nice and clean seating area suitable for families. Prices are very reasonable. Area is safe for travelers. The owner confirmed that they have been serving Zabhihah meats since 11 years. Overall very good experience.

Great Halal eatery in the area at very good prices. Excellent service, nice and clean. Mostly the customers are the university students so the prices are student friendly too. Brother who owns it tries to do his best make you feel at home. Also, he has the cleanest restrooms I have ever seen in the USA at a Muslim restaurant. And yes don't forget to try his qahwa.

If you're in the city of Richmond you MUST eat here! Simply put Coliseum serves the best Mediterrainean cuisine in Richmond period! All the variety one could ever wish for plus american favorites like cheeseburgers and philly cheesesteaks served completely halal. The atmosphere is the friendliest I have ever experienced at any restaurant. The owner Abbas is a character to say the least and makes you feel as welcome as if you were at your own home. The best halal cuisine in Richmond!

well, i just talked to the owner and he was extremely nice and helpful to me. it shouldn't matter to any of us if in this shop alcoholic bevrages are served or not. we should support each other and stick to our values. so what if he serves non zabih meat too, at least we know which one is halal and which ones aren't. compare to some who buy cheaper meat and sell them as halal!, this restaurant is a gold

Their food is DELICIOUS! Especially their cheesesteaks and fries - I live in northern VA but definitely try to eat here anytime I'm in Richmond.

Very good Iranian food (I had an iranian friend and have eaten Iranian food before). Very authentic taste, but bland for the Pakistnai palate, but they do provide hot sauce. The chicken wings were very good. Owner is muslim and does not sell anything non-zabiha, when we asked him.

I lived in Richmond for 8 years and this place was probably one of the greatest things to happen to the city! Their steak and cheese sub and cheeseburgers were amazing! Their meat pizzas were also good. I miss eating there...

The halal authenticity should be changed to 'owner is a known muslim'. The guy literally had halal meat signs all over the restaurant, a beautiful framed piece of artwork with 'Allah' written on it. I think it's pretty safe to eat here. Oh, the food was good too.

Thanks to this site we went there to eat yesterday. I did confirm they don't sell any thing haram. Bacon sausage and stuff like that is all turkey which is a great benefit for American Muslims. Excellent Iranian food. Great location, excellent seating for family, great service and great price. Lots of Iranian and Middle astern foods to choose from.

How can they handle HALAL and HARAM MEAT on same grill and still call it HALAL to eat. They should have to change all king of meat to Zabihah HALAL

good food, everything is halal EXCEPT for the gyros, but the owner made sure to tell us that when we asked. they make great pizza, have halal pepporoni (though i've never tried it), and their sandwiches and kabobs are great. one of the bright spots in richmond, where halal restaurants and middle eastern themed restaurants tend to be scarce. :)
