Mom and pop grocery store also serving a limited menu. I ordered a burger, fries, and a water, and was told that they didn\'t have water. WHAT? A restaurant that doesn\'t serve water? The woman who took my order eventually gave me some tap water in a styrofoam teacup. The burger was just ok. Sacramento has plenty of other choices to explore before I would come back here again.

Tried there beef burger, and Chicken Kobab. Burger tasted of lamb. Chicken Kobab was ok. New owners, say will be changing the menu. Overall, clean and decent.

The owners were very friendly and did not over charge us as others allege to. The food was above average, the place was very clean and "open" and not crowded. We were greeted with the salaam but everyone involved, from the man at the register to the young brother who brought us our food, and the sister who came to clean up. Very decent Muslim establishment, alhamdulillah.

Excellent burgers! My husband and I are regulars there. There are only a few places to sit. Also, I believe they are closed on Mondays.

The food is not bad, but I have been overcharged on more than occasion. I hope it was a mistake by the owner.

owners run this store by themselves. They were very nice, But it seems like they need to find some other line of work or pay more attention to their business. Store is not clean. food is average. The only thing good is their fresh afghan bread. This place is due for a major rennovation.

This place is great. They had 2 inspections this year and they passed. Only once in my lifetime I ordered a burger and it was not well done. I was upset because they don't live close to my house. But I've been back and their food is amazing. Try their lamb Qabili palau, you will keep going back for more! I wish that they were located in South Sac, near Mack Rd. I would eat here every week!

i used to go there alot and liked their burgers which are 50 percent garlic and the chicken burgers that are like 70 percent garlic. i didn't mind all that garlic flavor until one day even the garlic could not mask the foul smell of the meat. then i realized, these people, like another restaurant owner i used to know use all that garlic to hide the smell of meat that has expired and gone bad. even still, i went back about four more times and the last two times i had a worst experience. i could even taste the meat had gone bad. a friend of mine had food poisoning one day when he had their rice and kabob. the owner tries very hard to be nice but he's a fake. andn the place is not very clean. check out the violations from the Sacramento County EMD (Health Inspection) http://www.foodinspect.saccounty.net/ASP%20Pages/FacilityInfo.asp?FacID=FA0003633

I LOVE to eat at this place. The food is so tasty. The only thing they have to work on is there beef burgers. Other than that it is excellent. I have eaten everything once, so i recommend it all. The service to is excellent.

"First of all, this place is very clean--especially in the back where the meat is prepared. We only purchased ground beef, but it was very fresh. They have other specialties like fresh brains, if you like that kind of thing. I highly recommend their delicious Afghani bread, which costs less than $2.00 for two huge loaves (as of November 2002); they make the bread themselves, on the premises. Also, service was friendly--an unfortunate rarity these days, even among Muslim establishments. The only "critique" is that I felt they could have more selection in the way of certain grocery items, such as jam (among other things). They also have halaal burgers and kabobs which they sell on-site (fast food). I didn't taste any, but the scent was heavenly."

The Halal store also has a hot deli, where awesome Afghani Kabobs, and burgers are served. They also serve Meat products.
