I-Mart

I found this place to be pretty expensive. Their meats are frozen too.

The owner charges a lot for the meat. We bought a whole baby goat leg and felt that we had been cheated in weight/price and freshness.

This is a South Asian grocery store. The owner is Bangladeshi and he is a practicing muslim. The store recently got new ownership and they have done a great job!. The meat is halal and they also have great fish. The pink meat that the other reviewer is refering to was probably veal.

First of all this store did not at all look or feel like a Pakistani store at all. Secondly, I bought goat meat that turned out to be lamb. Upon asking I was flat out denied that this wasn't goat meat. Secondly I dont even want to think about this one - the beef turned out to be way too pink for me! I threw it out after cooking just once - I dont even want to imagine that it could be pork. The last straw came when I went there to complain about my suspicion of beef being pork - it turned out that their butcher was a mexican guy, proving that this wasn't zabiha at all. p.s. What kind of name is Ummu Muhammad? The kind that some non muslim shop owner would think up, pretending to be muslim. This is referring to the other review on zabihah.com for this shop.
