As-salam-o-laikum, From some time now multiple (Concerned Members of Masjid Badr) CMMB want to bring your attention to a dire matter, which has infringed upon the enjoyment of some and is a nuisance to many. We would like to point out the following subject matter, which led us to compose this correspondence: · Cooking odors are strong but tend to dissipate overtime · Some odors emitted daily. Some on weekly basis and others are infrequent · Odors from the restroom linger within the prayer space · Prayer space is DIRTY/FILTHY We don't mean to disparage the imam or demean any practices but the unpleasant odors are so invasive that the effect on other members is significant. Evaluating the seriousness of odor issues and tackling to eradicate the problem lies solely with the imam. Yesterday, the odor of burning food permeated the small prayer space, which led to many (CMMB) to not attend multiple prayer services. The filth and odor are part of broadly defined activities that interfere with people's quiet prayer time. Please demonstrate a consistent process in dealing with these matters. Unfortunately, retaining community members and nurturing their needs take personalized relationship, which some of us believe is not in place. Our purpose is not to disgorge negative energy or ask people to perfect their own idiosyncrasies but rather to enlighten and bring attention to this serious matter. Reprimanding is not the purpose of this email. Please don't make it a circumstantial ad hominem attack, a fallacy where one might assume an attempt of attack by asserting that our claims are simply out of self-interest. We are making the claims because we feel that we are part of this community and we all are in the house of Allah to please him. But these issues are impeding the flow of community members and refraining them from coming to the mosque. It is about time that we baptized our selves with community problems and come up with a resolution because being stranded in a mosque is the pinnacle of solitude and that is what we all want to feel when we come to Badr. It is imperative that you know we appreciate what ever you do to keep the masjid going but as members of the community we also have a say in certain matters. So here we lay our peace"¦ Jazkallah

Alhamdulillah, this is a very nice masjid that offer five prayers, three jummahs, and educational services. The Imam is very nice, informative, and does his best to please Allah. He is very helpful and willing to help anyone with their problems. Kutbas are very good and for those willing to accept the truth. People are friendly and is very comfortable, it gives a homely feeling! Overall a very nice masjid to come to! 👌💯

I visited this place once. One man yelled at other brother, to join his feet with his feet. The other got mad on him . They start fighting whilst we were waiting to start off the prayer. When I looked at the imam, he was smiling and looking at the first guy who started this chaos, as if he is agreeing with the first ignorant guy who even looked little mental to me. I was very disappointed that this place is to please the god and it is the responsibility of the leader to solve the matter, not to take any ones side. Anyways that was my last time. I don't know how this could be a big deal to attach the feet , in reality it does not look good doing that . The person who wants his feet to be touched, acts gay. I had this experience more than one time and i have not seen the good response from the other party. In short, i will not recommend this place for anybody who is not racist or does not like extremism .
