The imam has been recently arrested for Domestic violence and battery charges have been filed. I dont think the place with a leader is suitable for the Islamic environment.

As Salaam Alaykum. To best know about a masjid, one must make a personal visit. This is my my first choice of all the masajid in Indianapolis, but you come decide for yourself InshaAllah.

This masjid is not salafi. The imam himself deeply despises salafiyaah and has personally told me that he hates this word. I would advise anyone looking for a salafi masjid in Indianapolis not to be fooled by this masjid being mislabeled as salafi on this website. This is a modernist masjid, bringing the Quran and Sunnah but not all of it. I was a long time member of this masjid until problems with the manhaj of this masjid became apparent. I made the mistake of bringing a new Muslimah to the masjid who was interested in marrying a brother and needed a wali. When the imam appointed my husband to be her wali, this imam encouraged private conversations with the young man without the involvement with her wali whatsoever. When asked how this could be when it is forbidden in Islam for free-mixing, he said "They're adults". Subhanallah. I wasn't aware there was an age limit for free-mixing and a cut off for when coming close to zina was no longer a problem. Quran and Sunnah is definitely what this masjid is upon! Yes, Quran and Sunnah with a modernist approach. Not to mention that the imam personally allows sufis to do their dhikr circles in his masjid. You know because the salafi manhaj is super supportive of bidd'ah. Please remove the misleading denomination from this profile but leave this insightful review so others can be aware of exactly what the methodology of this masjid is.

Assalamu alaykum, alkamdu lillah jummuah kutbah are great. Brothers & sisters need to give Sadakah fissabi lillah to support the masjeed. Spend for the sake of Allah not only on friday prayers as much as you can, Allah Aza wajal will reward you abundly.
