Al-amin Masjid was set up in 1987 by a group of people (founding trustees) to generally serve the religious needs of the Bangladeshi people living in the inner central areas of Rochdale. The trustees of the Masjid committee bought a corner house (extended terraced) which was converted into a Mosque and teaching centre. Al-amin Masjid has over the years continued to serve the needs of the Bangladeshi Muslims, as well as Pakistani Muslims.
