Greater Lafayette Islamic Center

This masjid is very clean. There is a a library and a men's dorm area upstairs and the entry level is the masjid, with a room for men and a room for women, and the basement is an all-purpose room. They are expanding their programs for converts, kids' groups, and other halaqas. It's not a bad masjid, but for a long time, it was way too conserative and scared off many women. Even to this day, the women's door is always closed unless it's juma'ah and somebody has it propped open with a sandal. This masjid is improving though.

The masjid serves as a place for all prayers. There is a separate area for women as well as a men's dorm on the second floor.

Even though I live in the area, I rarely go. The kids can be out of control. I just never get a good vibe from there.
