Islamic Center of Jackson

Small community, nice Masjid with limited resources. Not many people attend the Masjid on a regular basis but the few devout members that regularly attend are very friendly and welcoming. I traveled through this area and stopped to pray at the Masjid. After a few minutes, a brother drove to the Masjid to open the doors (it's locked in between prayers, safety purposes). The brother was very engaging and said that usually he takes his time coming to the Mosque to open the doors, particularly for Fajr and Isha prayers since people do not attend regularly but after having travelers come, it renewed his enthusiasm and optimism to get to the Masjid as a soon as possible. Great memory!

Any masjid in a community this small that has five time daily salaah gets a lot of points. May Allah reward them with good
