Al-Madinah Masjid

Convenient location. Just seconds from I-85 near Global mall. Visited here on a travel. Short quthba is in Arabic. There was an English lecture before starting quthba.

jumaa prayer does not begin 1:45. I arrive at the masjid around 2:10 and still have time for prayer before jumaa begins.

While I do have issue with the segregated space for women, the people at this mosque are extremely friendly and progressive. The sermons, for the most part, are focused on self improvement and social awareness. It would be nice to have more congregating after prayer services, but many of the people work and have to return after prayer. Members of the mosque are very active in the community. The imams are more accessible to men than to women, at least in my experience.
