Came here a few weeks ago and it appears closed/abandoned. Number does not work either.
Salam. I prayed jummah here today, and had a very, very pleasant experience. It seems to be a small community mosque, with a solid imam and great, communal vibe. It is one medium-sized room, with few furnishings but clean and neat. The wudu/bathroom area is behind the prayer room, separate facilities for men and women. There is a small room up front for shoes and coats, free water bottles, some fliers and prayer schedules. The khutbah was less academic and more of a discussion of problems facing the community. And it was inspirational, yet low-key. About 70% of the attendees were African-American Muslims, the rest immigrant Muslims. After the prayer, a man welcomed me to the mosque, and, upon learning that I was new to the area, gave me a list of all the mosques in California and their addresses. He also some copies of "Muslim Journal." Overall, a great experience. If I lived in San Francisco, I would come here often.
