Amazing masjid - great community. Huge amount of people! You're not likely to see as many people consistently praying anywhere else in Brooklyn.

I wish I could contact the Iman as well, or, at least, somebody who was there at the stakeout. I'm writing a book about a group of Muslim youth fighting against social issues, and I want to write in a reference to the stakeout.

Assalamu alaykum, I wish there were a way to contact Imam Siraj Wahhaj. I had a sister in Islam that I loved for the sake of Allah for 12 years, she is an African American and I am not. She recently started saying stuff about me having blue eyes. Suddenly, she tells me that she is not happy for me or love me because I am white. I loved her for the sake of Allah, and it makes me very sad that she can't put aside that we look different to be sisters in Islam. I tried to tell her that I can't control my skin color, it's the way Allah made me. But I wish the imaam would speak on this kind of race issue that divides Muslims. How can the color of skin be a reason for division among Muslimahs?

A Brooklyn staple...brothers are generally nice, good food in the area around the masjid. Bathrooms aren't always too clean...but i guess the sheer volume of people in and out everyday has something to do with that. Alot of space, even food/milk/bread/dates on a daily basis provided.
