This is a great community and masjid. It's the only masjid in the city so you have a very diverse congregation and alhamdulillah, tightly knit as well. The imam is Somalian and active in teaching hifdh to the youth. He has a unique style in reciting the Qur'an from beginning to end during Fajr, Maghrib, and 'Isha salah and does a khatm every few months. The community is big on outreach and there's an annual open house that gets 150-250 non-Muslims attending. They're also very encouraging for youth leadership and college students make up about half of the operating council and a few give regular khutbahs. Also, the picture on this webiste is not of the masjid which looks nothing like the rendering.

We stopped at this masjid on a road trip for fajr. It was really quite nice and we were grateful for the chance to pray on the road. The people were friendly.
