NR Please verify that the meat is halal since during the last visit the chef told that only the soup meat is Zabiha halal and the others are not. Posted on February 12, 2022 |

★★★☆☆ We have been here twice now for their Mediterranean buffet. Location is convenient, its close to UTD, and 635, just off Coit. Good selection on meat, veg and salad options on the buffet for $10. Posted on April 11, 2016 |

★★★★★ This is my new go to place for a Mediterranean buffet. The kabobs are outstanding and for the price is very reasonable at $10. We also enjoyed the butter chicken which is not usual for a persian place but I will not complain as it was possibly the best item on the buffet. All other items were top notch and we will definitely become regular clientele. Posted on July 9, 2015 |

★★★★★ My wife and I enjoyed the buffet. They had a lot of good meat options, salad, and 3 kinds of rice. We also liked the inclusion of fruit along with the dessert pudding available.
The service was excellent- and the staff was courteous. Posted on August 14, 2012 |

★★★★★ How can you not love Shish-ka-bobs!! The ground skewers of beef are exceptional and all you can eat. The chicken dishes taste great. To top it off, they even now offer a butter chicken like dish which tastes great as well. Anyone who has some thing bad to say about this place is just sippin on haterade. Posted on March 23, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Today I had (weekend all day) buffet there. Most of thier grilled items were pretty good. Gyro strips were okay. Friendly staff and clean place. Keep in mind this is a persian food place, so the food is not spicy at all. Posted on March 28, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ Staff is very rude. I ordered a take out buffet. Instead of giving me the to go buffet box, they asked they will put food in the box from buffet themself. I asked why they would do that, and the staff girl said that if I do it myself I will put more meat items and eat over one to two days. I asked this is not right, and she said its their policy. I will never go to this place. Posted on September 27, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Very Pricey for what you get. Was okay. Their neighbor.....Noodle Wave is a better choice if going to that area. Posted on August 24, 2009 |

★★★★★ Love this restaurant!! Excellent Persian fare, Clean place and good service. If there is any down side to this place then it is probably the fact that it gets a tad bit crowded at lunch time. Excellent Persian food. Not as good as that cooked in a Persian home but pretty close!! Posted on July 18, 2007 |

★★☆☆☆ The food portions were good but was extremely bland. Most other persian places I ate gave food with some flavor. I ordered #1, the boneless chicken, and it tasted as if I was eating raw chicken. I had to add salt just to be able to eat the meal and still I walked away feeling unsatisfied. The prices were also a little high considering the portion size. I won't be returning to this restaurant. Posted on December 30, 2005 |

★★★★★ Halal Sign in window.
Buffet is excellent, and had: chicken kabob, kubideh, and even fesenjaan. there were many items including Tah Dig.
Very clean. I highly recommend. Posted on May 2, 2005 |

★★★★★ As Salam Alaikum! Uh, Shishkabobs blatantly advertizes that the meat used is Halal. True, at one point, the previous owners purchased their meats from Sam's, the new owner now purchases his meat from a grocer in Ft. Worth. So it is Zabihah, Alhumdulilah! Enjoy. Posted on August 23, 2004 |

★★☆☆☆ Evening dinner brings a very nicely seasoned portion of kefta. Ali is wonderfully friendly. I was surprised to find a very provocative succession of 3 music videos repeatedly playing on the overhead television. I was hoping for more of a quiet, family atmosphere in a restaurant with suce high dinner prices. Posted on June 10, 2004 |

★★★★★ Very good Persian food at a fair price. Lunch buffet was wonderful with plenty of selections and always hot and fresh. The service is excellent also. The best Shish ka bobs too! Posted on May 13, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ Very good Persian kebobs. However, the prices were on the high side. You can get the same kind of kebobs at a significantly lower price elsewhere. Just have to drive a little, that's all! Posted on February 23, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ I think Shishkabobs is a little overpriced. Also, it would be nice if they served more non-meat dishes. I always feel like I eat so much meat there! Also, I don't know if I'm just clueless here, but I would like some different veggies with my kabob platter than just the grilled tomato. The shishkabobs are very good, though. ★★★★★ ShishkaBobs have the best ShishkaBobs. It is owned by Iranians, and the mustache man (Ali) operating the cash register hosts a Monday - Saturday Lunch Buffet from 12:30PM - 3:00PM. If you go, tell him the following: I would like a number two with your yogurt cucumber sauce, and please give me some potato salad. Then smile and find a seat. Enjoy it in good health and order either tea or a soft drink with your meal. Posted on December 22, 2002 |
