★★★★☆ Can't beat the price for a plate of neat and rice. That said I'm a white dude with no expertise in South Asian food. Been a few times now. Posted on January 18, 2018 |

★☆☆☆☆ I don't know how this restaurant gets five stars. Agreed it's Bangladeshi. Agreed the food is edible. But the standard is quite poor and disappointing at the best of times. I wish the Bengali restaurants in DFW got their acts together and served real quality food.
Don't judge by catering. Catering is always slightly better. Posted on February 23, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ This is the worst halal restaurant I've ever been to and I am a bengali. They dont maintain quality at all. We went there tonight to get some take out dinner. We ordered Shahi biryani, chicken biryani, Chicken 65 and Bosnian bread. Shahi Biryani: taste was not too bad, reminds me of biryanis from back home(bangladesh) to some extent. Being said that, there were only 4 pieces of meat (mostly bones) and the rice was way too greasy. Chicken biryani: too sweet and greasy, but is was very cheap though. Bosnian bread: tasted nothing like the bosnian breads I used to have and too greasy. And then Chicken 65: I have to say this is the main reason for this review today, beacause I have been to Chameli before and to me the food was always 3 star, so I kind of knew what was coming when we ordered the biryanis. but chicken 65 was something else. I took the first bite and chicken tasted like rope! It was so hard that I couldnt chew. I took the next bite and same thing. Then I realized... the chicken was completely freezer burned. It was absolutely inedible. On top of that there was so much food color in the sauce my fingers and mouth were stained in bright red! There is nothing to do now other than to throw this in the garbage. This is so unacceptable. I never felt the urge to come here and write a review until today. Never coming back. ★★★★☆ Food is surprisingly cheap, You can get a heaping plate of biryani for 4 bucks. Biryani was alright, kebabs were much better and the chicken karahi was just fantastic.
Service is good and restaurant is clean and conveniently located. I will definitely be going back to try some other dishes. Posted on November 6, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ Pros - Bangali Style, Nice Decor and Service.
Cons - If you like Pakistani food then this is not the place for you. Chicken Roast was actually sweat and with gravy (Not what u expect right), Naan's were average, Shahi Biryani was sweat as well and NOT good. Chicken Karahi was not good, home cooked is much better. Seekh Kababs were undercooked. All food was non spicy and that was their most spicy level. These dishes were recommended by the owner so it might be Bangali's style I guess, but definitely not Pakistani style. Posted on October 17, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ Good chicken biryani if you want to save money. A little bit greasy but good food for the price you pay. The internal decor and environment is also very nice. Posted on September 25, 2010 |

★★★★★ Amazing biryani, butter chicken and chicken achari.
It is one of the places that I go to very frequently, really great food. Very friendly staff and friendly owner. The rice kheer is also brilliant. If you are in Dallas, this is a must-go place! Posted on June 3, 2010 |

★★★★☆ They serve Bangladeshi style food. If you don't like Bangali taste, this is not a place for you to eat. Posted on April 1, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ have been here several times...biryani is pretty good when made spicy but is too oily, their salans or stews if you want to call it are pretty good...the began (eggplant) is very good, the chameli chicken is good , the naan is made fresh, butter chicken is pretty good also, not a bad place at all...i had haleem once and it was way below avg., owner is nice too to returning customers, makes you feel welcomed Posted on December 4, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ It's ok - I went a few times, and wasn't too impressed. It's definately different than some of the traditional Indo-Pak establishments - the food tastes a little different. It's rather clean. Posted on March 23, 2009 |

★★★★★ Chameli gets their meats from Haani Foods, the halal organic farm in Royce City. siquadri needs to verify the halal status with the owner of a place and not base their accusations on a staff member behaving rudely before claiming that a halal restaurant is not serving halal meat (which is against the terms of use of zabihah.com in the first place). Chameli is one of the best Muslim-owned halal restaurants in town. Because of false negative reviews, places like this may not survive. Many places owned by non-Muslims are highly rated here and no one has given them a shake down about their halal status! Think about it. Posted on December 6, 2008 |

★★★★★ Chameli specializes in Bangladeshi Cuisine. The Biryanis are excellent. It also has Nan and Kabab menu. Everyday, there are some special items. Among the appetizers Chameli Chicken is very delicious. The food has very much resemblance with Indian Cuisine. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to taste spicy Indian food.
