The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status. Only thing that is not halal is the gyro meat.

★★★★★ Very nice ambiance. The bread is fresh and tasty. The buffet was a good value. This place is much better than Demassi in value and freshness of food. The workers were also friendly. Posted on December 26, 2018 |

★☆☆☆☆ Please do not use this facility for eating. It has very poor quality food. I visited this place and there were less than $40 bill but when I saw my credit card they charge me close to $60. I called the Manager and he is even worst. He do not want to return the extra charge but telling me to go there again. His attitude was very rude.
Quality of food too poor to eat. Never will return there. Posted on May 21, 2014 |
It is a shame for a Moslem to lie about another Moslem business like this. We have a hard enough time without this kind of slander. As Mirza982002 know, his is not true. His handwriting was poor and a waiter misread the tip. It definitely was not misread as a $20 tip. The bill was for $38 and change. It looked like he wrote the credit card total for $48 when he says now that he meant it to be $40. His 0 looked like and 8 to my waiter. It is not unusual for our diners to tip $10 for a meal. It IS unusual for a diner to tip $1 for a meal. It was an honest mistake on the part of our wait staff. When he called about it, I apologized, and told him that I would gladly change it if he would give me the credit card number so that I could go back in the system. He refused to give me the number. Obviously, I could not fix the situation without the number. I offered him several other alternatives. He refused all of them, but continued to call me a thief. Obviously, the food was not too poor a quality to eat, since he ate it and there were no complaints. This person needs to learn to treat others with respect. He doesn't have to worry about returning here. In Texas a business has the right to refuse service to anyone, and we would definitely exercise that right. |

★★★☆☆ The owner informed us that the gyro meat was not halal, every thing else he assured us was halal, also we did see wine at the premises for sale, as far as food goes we order chicken sheesh kabab, it was very good. We probably wont eat in but will be doing take outs, good ambience and a nice patio they have as well. Posted on April 9, 2013 |

★★★★★ Excellent lunch buffet with great vegetarian options. I especially liked the babaganoush with the fresh baked pita bread along with the white bean salad and chickpeas. They do have alcohol but they are not pushing it. I will return to check out dinner one night soon.
(Do not know why no rating was reported earlier. Thank you. Posted on March 18, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ The manager lied to me said everything is halal and did eat the gyro for lunch buffet. They started to put out the wine as well so people like these claiming anything to do with halal should be questionable, I will never believe or return to this place again. If still interested make sure about the source of chicken and lamb before eating here again. Posted on September 19, 2012 |
This is absolutely untrue. I have never told anyone that "everything is halal," nor has my staff. We ALWAYS tell our customers that the gyro is NOT halal. We also do not "put out" wine at lunch. We do not provide the wine list to our customers at lunch, only at dinner. |

★★★☆☆ The owner was honest about his gyro meat not being dhabihah but said everything else was. The food was above average for a Turkish restaurant. The prices are typical for this type of turkish restaurant a huge turn of is the type of clientèle and the fact that they serve alcohol.
I did like the hummus and fresh bread. The chicken shish kebap was very juicy and tender and the iskender kebap was not bad. You get 2 small icli kofte for $5 which was a let down but they werent good either.
I probably wouldn't return here for dinner due to the prices. I might try the lunch buffet sometime though. Posted on July 22, 2012 |
