★★★★☆ I see it says "Full Halal" menu but that may be slightly misleading. I called and checked. I was told Halal is available only on order. You cannot walk in and expect Halal food. They have great reputation for good food, and I am sure that is true. However, the menu is halal only on demand. Posted on July 26, 2022 |
We will change the listing - thank you for the heads-up |

★★★★★ This franchise is owned by a Muslim man who loves his own craft. He said the one thing he's proud of is his briskets. After ordering 24 hrs in advance, I received 5 lbs of brisket and 2 lbs of the grilled chicken. Both items were absolutely amazing! The luscious and perfectly sweet taste hit all the right spots. As a Muslim, it's hard to find any halal BBQ at all.
I've had some amazing brisket before, nothing world renown, but I'd say that these Dickie's briskets are pretty darn good comparatively. If you want to eat in the restaurant, he offered to open a room in the back of their restaurant, so long as we ordered the 5 lbs - 24 hrs in advance.
As for customer service, I didn't deal with anyone except the owner. I have heard from quite a few people that when they called the restaurant, they simply couldn't make sure what halal items are offered.
If you take the brisket home, be sure to cook it again the proper way. If not, the briskets will not hold the moistness they have. The owner told me how to do it, and they turned out great. Of course, there's nothing like eating it fresh though.
The only thing stopping me from giving the halal items a 5/5 is that they are only available on a catered basis. If only . . . Oh, if only I could just pop in and eat a plate whenever I want to.
I really do hope this Dickies sticks around and continues to offer its halal items! Posted on March 15, 2016 |

★☆☆☆☆ The service was excellent, you must call ahead and request the halal option 2-3 days in advance. Also there is a minimum order that must be placed, I remember it came out to close to $90 for around 5 lbs of Brisket. Unfortunately the brisket was terrible, it lacked flavor and was so dry, even with 2 types of bbq sauces with the food did not help. Also the sides they sell at the restaurant were nothing special. KFC has better sides. We had this early Dec 2015. Posted on January 26, 2016 |

NR I haven't tried anything here yet - hence the NR but for general information the halal option is only available for catering and you do have to order 24 hrs before hand - will update when I try something there Posted on January 21, 2016 |
