★★☆☆☆ We tried the lamb kebab plate and the chicken plate but they were k. The rice was cold when we got it.
Not the best place to eat in but good to try. Honestly I have been to better places Posted on January 2, 2016 |

★★★★☆ The place was clean. Service was great.
Food was very good.
Excellent taste. Must try! Posted on November 20, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ A little run down (looks like a barely renovated subway) and the food looks like it's been under a heat lamp for hours. But the cost is ridiculously cheap for the area (4.99/lb). The service is great and the food tastes pretty good as well. Posted on August 2, 2011 |

★★★★☆ It's got nice food at a fair price. They might want to fix up the place, though Posted on July 12, 2009 |

★★★★☆ Service and food is really good, and the price is decent. The ambiance is not all that, but is okay. Posted on July 7, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ If you want cheap eats, then come here. But the place itself stinks (both literally and figuratively).
The restaurant is located in one room of an old brownstone/rowhouse- so there is very little seating. Not that you would want to sit on 1970s furniture with deteriorating, peeling walls around you. Hopefully they will renovate at some point and get rid of the smell.
That said- you can't beat the prices here, and the food is pretty good. Posted on June 10, 2008 |

★★★☆☆ i wouldnt come here for the ambience, but ive had lunch here a few different times, and the food is great, the food in the lunch buffet is a little bland for my taste, but there are a lot of non-desi folk who come here for lunch, so i understand.
I also had like a koobideh sandwich, which is made fresh to order, unlike buffets, and it was quite filling for 5 bucks. Nice lunch spot if you work in the area - and funny enough, they have bollywood music vidoes on all the time, LoL Posted on February 12, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Not a bad place. The food isn't extraordinary, but it's pretty good. Fixing up the place a little bit would be good. Has a bit of a run down feel to it. Posted on October 23, 2006 |

★☆☆☆☆ My family went for dinner to this restaurant based on the reviews i had read here. I was very dissapointed in the food quality, selection and ambiance.
The dinner buffet was ~ $8 but it looked and tasted like it was the same food that has been sitting there since this morning. They had NO bathroom facilities or a place to wash your hands, which was quite concerning for a restaurant. I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting the DC area. ★★★★☆ House of Kabob catered my wedding for 320 people. Everyone loved the food. And their prices are very reasonable. Posted on November 17, 2004 |

★★★☆☆ Food not to great... my husband liked it, but I didn't really enjoy it. If you're used to genuinely good south asian food.. not the place for you Posted on October 14, 2004 |

★★★★☆ The food is good. They are pretty clean and the owner states that the meat they use is halaal... Posted on March 30, 2004 |

★★★★☆ This place some of the best middle eastern food I have ever tasted but there is no such thing as a customer friendly environment. There is barely engough space to stand and order or to stand around and wait for your order. However, the food is great, a little on the costly side but what the hey. I'd advise that you get the yogurt sauce its great Posted on January 19, 2004 |

★★★★☆ "The food is great. I have my non-muslim co-workers going there all the time now. The guys who work there are really cool too. I must warn you though, there is absolutely no ambiance here. The have a bench and a few stools, and that's about it. Plan on taking your food to go." Posted on October 13, 2000 |
