★★★★☆ This is the popular Halal franchise that is in many shopping malls of the DMV. Food is decent and tasty and my favorite dish is the lamb shank even though it is a bit greasy and fatty it is good to have every once a while! ★★★★★ It’s easier to get to if you enter from 13th and F Street entrance rather than the 1331 Pennsylvania Ave. Asked the cashier of halal status, she nodded and pointed at ‘Halal Poultry’ stickers on back of the cash registers. I had the chicken gyro sandwich, which was excellent and full of flavor. Will definitely go back and will also try to inquire about non-poultry items next time, Inshallah. Posted on April 10, 2013
