★☆☆☆☆ I had been to this restaurant twice so far, the food is ok but those who prepare the food were not clean. I was shocked first time to see that they do not use gloves. I asked the guy who was making my sandwich to use gloves and he said they ran out of gloves. Few days later, i went there and again the employees do not use gloves. I asked the guy who was going to make my sandwich to wear gloves. This time the excuse was that they can not open and wrap the pita if they have gloves. I told the guy, if you do not use gloves, you should at least clip your very long nails. His nail were fealty and long. There was another employee near by and he heard the conversation and he volunteered to make my sandwich and he showed me that his nails were clipped. It is illegal for restaurant employees to have long nails and use bare hands when preparing food. I could have shut down the place if i contacted the health department but i do not want to go that route. If eating there, check the employees nails and demand using gloves when preparing your food. I hope the owner reads this and act on it. Posted on June 25, 2013
★★★★★ Just visited this new restaurant while visiting Victoria, BC. We had their lunch special (Donair Wrap+Fries+Pop) and a chicken donair on rice plate. Both were very good, with generous meat portions.
We also had their rice pudding and it was AWESOME!! A must have! So creamy and cool. Not like the indian kheer pudding, so that was a super surprise!
The hostess was very friendly too and answered any questions we had. The place was nice and clean, has a nice cozy cafe feel to it. Prices are reasonable. I'm wishing this business lots of success so that it doesn't close anytime soon.
Other details: Open Mon-Sat, 11am-9pm.
Business is in a nice central location, very close to the Bay Center. Few free 1 hr parking spots available nearby. Posted on December 1, 2012
