A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this restaurant. From the owner: 'In our menu, we serve various chicken
and Lamb entrees and both meats are Zabihah Halal.'

★☆☆☆☆ Honestly, one of the worst restaurants I've been to. Horrible service, average food at best, and one of the chefs/kitchen workers used the bathroom and didn't wash his hands right in front of me. Will not be going back! Posted on December 25, 2013 |

★★★☆☆ We live few miles up in Gurnee and this is the first time I tried this place. First thing you see when you enter into this Resturant is a desi grocery store then Resturant, not so sexy. It used to be another Indian resturant saffron house here. We tried their lunch buffet which was about 10$, not so bad. Buffet had two appetizers veg samosa and dosa, three meat dishes chicken tikka, butter chicken and goat curry, one rice dish pea pollau, four/five veg dishes chick peas, alloo gobhee, grilled vegetable and one or two more veggies which I don't remember now and two sweets mango ice cream and gulab jaman. Both chicken dishes were good and goat curry is reasonably okay. I have eaten better chick peas then theirs. I didn't try other veggies but my wife said they were okay. Gulam jaman was a little better then home made one. Tea had more masala and milk then tea itself and alone it was 2:95$, way more then star bucks coffee and wasn't good at all. Dishes run like 12-13 $ which are a bit expensive. Naan were good and their price is 1:95 twice the price which you pay at devon. I can't comment on their quantity as we had buffet.
We asked about halal meat which they claim they get it from Devon and it is halal. They do serve liquor in their Resturant though. Waiters and managment were not so friendly which was not so surprising. Bottom line it's nothing like popular Pakistani restaurants on Devon but it is reasonable place to go in north burbs when you don't want to go to Devon and want to eat desi food.
Ps: they only have lunch buffet no dinner buffet. Posted on April 29, 2013 |

★★★★☆ This is usually our go to place for dine-in or carry out. They don't serve beef, however there are lot of options in Chicken and Lamb. They do offer daily lunch buffet with good variety.
We recently did a catering for 50 people and everyone enjoyed. The owner was very helpful in selecting the Veg and Non-Veg menu and came out to the community center to setup two sets of buffets. Posted on June 9, 2012 |
