★★★★ My family and I visited for the first time and generally enjoyed it!
The staff are extremely friendly, prompt and helpful. The maitre d' (Sanjay, a very nice man) double-checked for us that all meat was Halal as confirmed by the chef. No pork is on the menu and I did not see any indications of alcohol served.
The food was generally very good. We had butter chicken, Shahi paneer, Chicken 65, cheese dosa and chicken biryani.
All were very good though the standouts were the butter chicken and chicken 65, which is deep fried and seems like a bit of a Chinese fusion. The coconut chutney with the dosa was really good as well.
Only minor complaint was we asked for medium or spicy but I guess they measure that by Canadian standards (fair enough, since we're in Canada) and we could have taken it a lot spicier. We'll ask for "ludicrous spicy" next time! Posted on September 10, 2017
