★★★★★ Fantastic food. Definitely the best Halal option in Vancouver. Posted on October 5, 2015 |

★★★★☆ We came here with some nonMuslim friends, and we all liked it. The hot and sour soup was pretty good. We ordered the general tso's chicken, chicken manchurian, chicken with cashews, mongolian beef, and sweet and sour beef with pineapple. It was all very good, although some of the dishes did kind of taste the same.
The food was very reasonably priced, and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely come here again. Posted on October 1, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Went there couple of times already... pretty good food specially chicken Manchurian is the best. All dishes have unique spicy taste and i loved it. staff is very nice and friendly.
I saw some people was not sure about if this restaurant is serving halal meat or not so asked person at counter where they get meat from and he handed me card of shop called "ALFARAZA HALAL MEATS" on victoria drive they get all meat from; was satisfactory enough for me. NR First of all alcohol is haraam and so how can you trust someone selling it and saying food is halal. Why should you go to such places where haraam is served.8 Posted on May 14, 2012 |
A great many restaurants on this site serve alcohol to their non-Muslim customers. That is why we clearly label such restaurants so that those who feel uncomfortable in the presence of alcohol may avoid them. Many Muslims aren't bothered by this, so we leave them on the site for them to decide for themselves. |

★★★★☆ Amazing food but never reserve a spot from before cause you are bound to wait for 45 min upon arrival on the Weekend. No other complaints as the service is fast and efficient. Posted on February 26, 2012 |

★★★★★ Amazing. Absolutely, without a doubt, the most amazing chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. I'm a convert to Islam, so I have had A LOT of chinese food in my life... and truly, this tops them all. The servers are top notch - so friendly, so polite. The atmosphere is bright and cheeful; a nice place to tuck yourself away into on a rainy day. A+, you really must try it. Posted on January 24, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Decent food. Service was a bit slow but staff was friendly. Slightly pricey also Posted on December 28, 2011 |

★★★★☆ Solid Chinese-Indian food choice. Standard menu options, nothing exceptional, but when you are feeling Chinese, you cannot go wrong with this place. Posted on June 26, 2011 |

|
★★★★☆ We ordered chili chicken dumplings for appetizers and chicken fried rice with manchurian chicken & mongolian beef for our main dishes. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. Posted on April 6, 2010 |

NR How can a halal restaurant be serving alcohol. I am very doubtful that this people are halal. Posted on June 26, 2009 |

★★★★★ The restaurant is run by Chinese who were raised in India, so there is a unique fusion that, at least for my family and I, works! We love coming here, and have eaten so many different dishes we can't list them all. It can be very spicy if you're not careful (I'm a spice wimp, but my wife can't get enough spices) but they will happily tailor the meal to your tastes.
Service is very friendly, easy to communicate and children are always welcome. They even have a little area slightly separate if, like us, you have a baby. Posted on March 28, 2009 |

★★★★★ Restaurant was very Royal. All the staff greeted and talked very politely. The Food was truly Chinese.

★★★★★ I have taken my friends and family here a number of times now, and they have all loved it. It can get pretty busy on the weekend, but the service is great despite the fact that they are as busy as they are. The food is great...not too much salt and just enough spice. ★★★★☆ The food was really good, the service however was not all that great. Try their beef schezwan, crunchy chicken noods and spicy chicken wings. Posted on July 31, 2007 |

★★★★★ Excellent food. The best Hakka food I have ever had. I used to eat her alot when I lived in Vancouver. Whenever I come back to Van city I always eat here. Highly recommended! Try the Manchurian Chicken its the best. Posted on July 23, 2007 |

★★★★☆ Good food, reasonable prices, great location. Took my parents from VA there last night and they also loved it. Posted on June 27, 2007 |

★★★☆☆ There was something rather unique about this attempt at fusion of chinese with indo-pakistani spicing.
It may be to many peoples taste, especially south asians who may find chinese food otherwise too bland - but for me i didn't work.
it was however OK. Nothing really stopping me from going again.
it's fairly well known amongst the muslim community, so i am assuming someone else has checked out its halal authenticity - i didn't see the owners - but i have no reason to doubt its authenticity. Posted on September 1, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ hmmm... the most wonderful thing about chinese food is how diverse it can be. You have your scheshwan, cantonese, taiwanese, and your indian-style, thai-style, singaprean-style, cuban-style(yummy!), etc. I wouldn't discount this restaurant because it's not "REAL" chinese food, what is that anyway? I don't think we in North America have tried the best of it yet. And definitely not here. I would discount this place for the lack of flavour in their batter-covered chicken strips, covered in some overly-sugary sauce and calling it Manchurian Chicken or Sweet N Sour chicken. Don't doubt that they use MSG either. And y'know why all this food is covered in so much batter, sugar, MSG, and masalas? B/C back in the old days, that's how they cover up meats that weren't so fresh. What Chinese food guys need to do is take advantage of our fresh resources and "accent" the meats, not cover it up. This is Vancouver! Take advantage and create something GOOD! But I do agree that the hot and sour soup is good. Posted on June 10, 2006 |

★★☆☆☆ This resturant is run and own by the Inidian Hindu, they say it is all halal, but I am little dought full. The food is not of that great quality as compared to the prices, bascially inidans are cooking the food. I am visting in the town from US, and thought I should pass on these un-biased comments. ★★★★★ This restaurant is definately a diamond in the rough. Make sure you start with the Hot Chili Chicken Dumplings w/ Garlic. Order the Braised Tofu w/ Manchurian Sauce, the Dai Ching Chicken, and the Vegetable Egg Fried Rice. Don't miss out on desert - The fried Banana and the Kulfi Ice cream are to die for. This place has beyond fantastic service and the owners will do everything possible to make sure you are pleased with your order. A MUST TRY! Posted on April 15, 2004 |

★★★★☆ "This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to with family and friends. The quality of the food is great, prices are very good (most dishes are around $10) and the portions are very generous. The service is great as they remember you by name. I usually go here with my wife during the weekdays, but as of late we have been going on the weekends. I must say the service is quite fast during the week but during the weekend, it slows right down. I recommend that you call in advance to reserve a table and be prepared to wait up to one hour for your food. The weekend is their busiest time and they just don't have the staff to maintain their efficiency as demonstrated during the week. In my book, it's still worth the wait! Best of all.... it's all Halal!" Posted on February 12, 2003 |

★★★★★ Excellent food. They serve the best Chinese food I have ever tasted. I don't know how authentically Chinese it tastes but it sure tastes good. It tastes like very flavorful Chinese food with a bit of spice. I'm from Chicago but if I travel to Vancouver again I will be sure to try and stop in. Posted on February 9, 2003 |

★★★★★ "My favourite restaurant in Vancouver. The food is exceptional! The service is top notch and the decor... well thats mediocre. But who cares! This is the most dynamic tasting 'Chinese' food I have ever tried. Try their dumplings, extra hot! You will order seconds! The beef chow mein is tasty and most everything on the menu has a little extra Indian inspired kick! Not for unadventurous. If you are looking for great tasting fusion cuisine with out the pretentious vibe of other Vancouver eateries then try Green Lettuce." Posted on January 19, 2003 |

★★★★☆ "This is a wonderful restaurant which has Chinese cuisine, but with the added influence of Indian fire! The chef and owners are of Chinese descent, but grew up in India. The food is incredible ~ wonderful flavours and variety, with the added bonus of being 100% halal. The service is fast, and extremely friendly. They go out of their way to help you and make you feel comfortable. Go there more than once, and they'll greet you by name. It is very clean. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant to all Muslims." Posted on August 18, 2002 |
