★★★★★ Delicious food! Portions are awesome and worth the price. This is our go to place. Recommend the chicken kebab and the new item on the menu: mixed chicken and meat kefta plate. Owner has such a good rapport with people. Posted on March 24, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ We went because of good reviews. Utterly disappointed.
The lamb and beef plates had small dry pieces of meat, salad with no dressing and old re-cycled rice. The roll had literally 3-4 small pieces of meat in it and mostly vegetables. Frys were without salt.
There are much better middle eastern options available in the area. This place is not that good at least now. Posted on September 2, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Every year I go the flavor, or food changes. But overall, its tasty. We go here after work because it's fast, you can sit down, and the portions have gotten bigger, hubby and I share a plate Posted on December 27, 2013 |

★★★★★ I went to this restaurant today with my family. My family and I tried a little bit of everything on the menu. Our favorites were the Lamb & Chicken Kebab Plate, the Ground Lamb & Beef Adana Kebab Plate, and the Falafel Plate. The food was amazing. The rice is flavorful, and homemade bread a nice touch to the meal. It's the best deal in town with the best food in town. We found the restaurant to be super clean, owner is very friendly, and he seems to know all the customers by name. I asked him if they do catering, as we have a family party coming up soon. He said they did, and would deliver to our home for free. We will be back very soon! Posted on July 24, 2010 |

★★★★☆ AMAZING food. You can really tell they use the highest quality ingredients. There's nothing like this in the east bay. And the best this is pricing is very reasonable. The owner is very friendly and a great guy. They've really put a lot of work into the restaurant, you can from the decor- and even the website. And if all that wasn't enough the food is AMAZING
EDIT: I haven't gone in a long time. The price went up, it's a little too expensive now. Posted on July 21, 2010 |

★★★★★ Passed by this place many times and finally decided to stop in for a bite to eat. I ordered the Lamb & Chicken Kebab combo plate which comes with Rice, Salad and Bread. It was the best kebab plate I've had in a long time. I especially liked the salad and home made bread. I thought the customer service was excellent as they owner/staff greeted me from the moment I walked in the door. They assured me the food is halal. Posted on November 22, 2009 |

★★★★★ Fabulous place to eat at. Nice setting which is very neat and clean. Service is terrific and the food quality is good. I had the Gyros plate and it was delicious !!! The food portions are huge--so it is totally your money's worth. I would recommend trying this place out. Posted on September 10, 2009 |

★★★★★ Fantastic food and experience. Been going to this place since they opened but only just getting around to writing them up. Food is always fresh and oh soooo delicious. Service is nothing short of awesome. You know the portions are good when you see cops there all the time. No offense intended. Mashallah they have heafty appetites. Anyway, I like the furniture, simple, functional, and clean. Minimal waste in terms of paper products. Menu is nicely displayed, no hand written price changes and such. I like the movies they play, even though they are sometimes a little too loud. Prices have gone up more than I care for, but the value is still fairly good. If you're in the area, this is definitely a place you want to visit. Posted on April 20, 2009 |

★☆☆☆☆ went there about a year ago and the food was alright. they also have a sister restaurant in the city. the service is very very good and they make you feel very comfortable. however, servings of meat are pretty small. i revisited the union city location a few weeks ago and everything was HORRIBLE! our table was dirty, so the girl at the counter cleaned it with a dirty rag that left the table wet and smelling stinky. when we switched tables and our food finally arrived, the chicken kabob tasted just like the smell of the rag she had just used to wipe down the other table. needless to say, i could not swallow the food. also, do not be fooled by the picture of their garlic fries. its really just fries with a whole bunch of garlic thrown on top. unless you like that sort of thing, DO NOT ORDER THEM! on the brighter side, the hummus is ok. ★★★★★ Good food and good service. I tried their hot dog, but they don't always have it and it is nothing great. All the rest of their food is great. Everyone should try it. Posted on July 16, 2008 |

★★★★★ Their food is excellent, their service is great, and it feels like a real restaurant, and not a typical halal hole in the wall. Their kebobs are very tender. Good thing this place is close to my house. Definately recommend for others to try. Posted on March 13, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Ibrahim, the owner does what very few Halal Restaurant Owners do, make you feel comfortable and at home and treats everyone who comes into his establishment with respect. That, plus the quality of food makes this a regular stop for any Zabihah Conscious Brs and Srs in the area. However the quality of the kebob and the soup has declined when compared to the quality during the first month, BUT it still is the best Turkish food in the Bay Area. Also add the fact, that he caters in the area and has been known to make special requests-- we need to give him our business! Posted on August 17, 2007 |

★★★★★ My friend's laughing at me b/c I just found out about Mr. Kebab two weeks ago. Alhamdullilah! A Muslim-owned restaurant that ACTUALLY caters to Muslim needs: family friendly, affordable, no alcoholic drinks, no selling of other haram ads/items, all meats are HALAL. I think it's owned by Turkish brothers. It's Middle-Eastern type of dishes very tasty, yum. My husband and I keep making excuses just to go there coming from Hayward, we've gone 2 days in a row and during the weekend. My favorites are: Kofte Kebab, Chicken Doner Kebab, Lamb Cop Kebab, and the Combo Appetizer (this is wonderful for vegetarians). However, the Iskender Kebab I didn't like, reminded me of a sloppy joe (I never liked sloppy joes). It wasn't the meat though, that was well seasoned and tender. The soggy bread layered below the meat and heavy yogurt topping was too much for me. Maybe if it was layered with their rice instead of bread it would taste better. Other than that, everything else is perfect: the decor, salad (which some businesses are lacking), rice (not too sticky/greasy topped with baby pine nuts), babaganoush, even their brand identity is creative (from a graphic design view) Too cute! the letters are attached to a skewer. I wished they sold their bread in loaves, and their rice in quarts (that way we can eat it in addition to our dinners at home). I hope this family stays in business for years to come, and may Allah continue to bless them.---LJ Posted on August 7, 2007 |

★★★★★ Subhan'Allah! This is the best Turkish/Middle-Eastern restaurant that I've had on the west coast. Everything here is absolutely delicious and made with extra barakah. I highly recommend coming here even if you have to drive for an hour. Posted on June 12, 2007 |

★★★★★ I've eaten at many restaurants, fast food joints in the East Bay. And thus far, I must say a restaurant really needs 2 things in order to be successful. Excellent food and service. Sometimes even if the food is bad, the service (appreciation, generosity) out does the quality of food. I must say the service at Mr.Kebab is the best I've seen for a middle eastern restaurant around here. Good job to the owners of this nice, cozy restaurant. I will be eating here for a long time. ★★★★☆ Very good food and friendly service! The place was a little busy when we went here for dinner earlier tonight, but the food still came out in a reasonable amount of time and was made fresh with good size portions. They bake bread fresh every day and also have free refills on the sodas! I tried the combo plate which was pretty good. Will definitely come again and try out some of the other dishes. The owner is Turkish and very friendly. Posted on May 19, 2007 |

★★★★★ Great food and fabulous service. Had been there twice already. Both times found the staff to be attentive, helpful and friendly. They even brought french fries for the kids in our group. In terms of menu, the beef cop kebabs are excellent. Chicken kebabs are our next favorite. The serving include kebab skewers, salad and rice. All at a very reasonable price. Don't leave without the baklava. It is heavenly. Posted on May 13, 2007 |

★★★★★ Went here today for lunch. This place just opened up a few weeks ago. It is in the Marketplace shopping center immediately adjacent to Starbucks. The owner is very friendly and the restaurant is extremely clean. The portion size is big and the prices are very low (as compared to similar restaurants in the area). Make sure to try the Chicken Doner Sandwich and the Mediterranean Hot Dog. Both are very tasty. All sandwiches come with salad and the platters come with rice, salad and bread. Based on my first visit, I highly recommend it. I will be back. Posted on April 19, 2007 |
