Beyti Kabab |

4105 Park Avenue, Union City, NJ 07087
Beyti Kebab is credited with being the first Turkish restaurant to open in the NY Metro area -- and quite possibly the entire U.S. Originally established in 1983 as a butcher shop, Beyti has evolved into the most well-known Turkish establishment with a dedicated clientele from all corners of the country. Whether you want to step out for a casual meal, or are seeking an exciting evening with music and dance, Beyti can accommodate your mood with two separate dining rooms, including a designated party space for your special occasion. Beyti is open everyday from 11:30 am - 10:00 pm. Please note that Beyti is now BYOB. Added on January 5, 2002 and last updated 14 years ago

NR Great food. Next table was having birthday party and were allowed to have a dog inside the restaurant. This might be in violation of restaurant code or halal code! Posted on May 19, 2018 |

★★★★☆ This place has been around for a very, very long time, and it's not hard to see why! The appetizers are delicious, the kabobs are very very tasty, and the portion sizes are perfect (one entree per person people! Dont try and share a dinner for one between three people!)
The service can be a little on the slower side, but thats because you can see the chef's cooking your food. I personally did not see any alcohol being served, but then again I went during lunch time when most people don't drink. The place is decorated in a way that must have been great many years ago, but it's a tiny bit outdated now. Still love it though and we go whenever we are in the Jersey City area, or on our way back home from the city.
Try the hummus, its absolutely delish! The only complaint was that my kabob was a little salty, but with a little of the turkish white sauce, I was a happy customer! Posted on July 19, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ I went back to Beyti las weekend. I did not find the same taste. My Iskender kebab was smaller portion. My friends had kebabs. I asked, they said "Nothing fancy. It's kebab." Service was fast and nice. I felt bad for the place that has gone down from a great place to... Posted on May 9, 2011 |

★★★★★ Best Turkish food in NJ. House blend, Beyti kebabs are pretty good, they are minced beef with herbs and spices. Combination meat platters are awesome. Buttery rice tastes good. Always have to ask for more bread (they tend to be skimpy in given them out, but it good Turkish bread). The baba ganoush is amazing. The restaurant is basic looking, has a small grocery and butcher section. Posted on November 13, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ The food was not good at all. It didn't seem to have much taste. Didn't seem like they put spices or seasoning on it so it tasted bland. My friends didn't like it either. I don't know why it got such high reviews below. Posted on July 7, 2007 |

★★★★☆ I introduced my co-workers to Beyti a while back. Fast forward to today and we have post project celebrations there all the time. They have 2 eating areas the first of which is a catering hall where they have live entertainment including belly dancers and the other is the main dining hall for all patrons. The shephard salad is what they are famous for (it is absolutely mouth watering declious with or without the fetta cheese). My favorite dish here is the Beyti kebab (skewered ground beef with rice and salad, very tasty). However, you can't go wrong with any of the dishes as they are all prepared to prefection; for dessert try the baklava with kaymak (buttered cream). Unfortunately they do serve alcohol and parking is problematic (park in the shopping center parking lot next door to save yourself some time). It is definately worth it and the prices are reasonable for the quality (approximately $11 for an entree.....$19 for a mixed platter) Posted on July 27, 2004 |

★★★★★ I have been visiting Beyti Kebab for the past 10 years and can honestly say that this is one of the BEST Turkish restaurants in the NYC area. I would suggest the Acili (spicy) Beyti Kebab and Iskender. Beyti Kebab has been in service for well over 15 years now and still continues to dominate it's industry through its quality food and service. A++ Posted on July 20, 2004 |

★☆☆☆☆ Went to eat when there was some birthday party going on in another room, with loud music and a belly dancer. Heard dancer comes only during night. Although the food was great, but later I heard that chicken is not zabihah, but beef is Halal, and if I remember correctly they also serve alcohol. Posted on December 13, 2003 |
