★★★☆☆ the taste is decent but i confirm earlier comments. they sell ham and bacon and you can see the chances of cross-contamination are great. they say the sausage, chicken and pepperoni is halal but i am not confident about this because i don’t think they even know the basics of islam. the guy explaining to me is not a muslim and was not convincing. NR This place is not halal. They serve pork as well as “halal” meat. No guarantee of cross contamination with pork in the kitchen. I would like to know what Zabihahs criteria is of deeming a restaurant halal. Posted on October 15, 2018 |
Our criteria per our FAQ is that restaurants offer at least one dish made with Islamically slaughtered meat. We depend on users like yourself to verify in person and share with the community. |

NR Yes definitely shady, one lady said it is halal but another guy said that pepperoni is beef but not halal. Turkey meat also is not halal. Only ground beef, sausage, chicken is halal. This is what one of the employees told me. Allah knows best. Posted on August 8, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ The pizza is good, but we stopped going there when they quietly changed the pepperoni to non-zabihah halal beef without telling their employees. ( when asked of the pepperoni was halal, employees would say "yes it's beef" )I have actually spoken to the owner and she says that everything except the pepperoni is halal and that they don't serve pork. NR iranian are hella shady when it comes to halal meat. I used to be a regular but not anymore. Ali and his family are super shady when u ask if its zabihah and i think its no longer halal Posted on September 29, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ joint is no longer 100% halal. they switched their pepperoni and now they just use normal haraam pepperoni, but dont tell you unless you specifically ask. this used to be a great place but if they Dont want to accommodate with a full halal menu, And be completely honest with their Muslim customers rather than having them have to ask the same question about it being halal in 20 different ways to get a straightforward answer, they have lost my business. its a shame but your lack of halal food combined with your shadiness will force me to go elsewhere. ★★★★☆ The place is tiny if you're with a big group but that's not too important for me since I usually get it to go after work on my way home.
I'm always greeted with a smile. Pizza is good. It's NY style pizza so probably different than what most are used to.
Prices are ok. So far I've tried Meat Lovers, BBQ Chicken, and Chipotle Chicken. All of them are excellent! Posted on January 10, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ Who said this place is cheap? Prices are the same(if not higher than San Gios) for slightly sub par food. We ordered 2 med pizzas - chicken and chipotle pizza, 2 subs- philli cheesesteak and chicken parmesan - all for $50. Pizza was ok taste wise. Not enough cheese or meat/veggie toppings. Sauce was bland too. Bbq sauce was spread over the pizza with few pcs of chicken and red onions. Subs were lacking meat big time and bread was hard (they were $8 each so i expected atleast a good portion of meat). No chips or side to go with it either. We got there at iftar time and expected them to have dates and water for muslim customers to open their fast, but the guy just looked at us like we were stupid for asking so we went next door and got Yogurtland to open our fast as we waited for food. Overall, i'd give it a mehhhh. Sorry but i wouldn't go there again. San Gios is worth the drive!! Ps- it was swelterinnnnnng hot in there so we took our food to go. Turn on a fan! ★★★★☆ I just wandered into the Laguna location on my way back from San Diego and what a wonderful surprise this place was. I went back there again and the food was just as good as the first time. Then I learnt of a branch in Tustin and my excitement knew no bounds. Tustin's pizza war underwhelming to say the least. I will still go there as their food is still better than San Giovanni's and more reasonably priced. Posted on August 12, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Pizza is O.K. I have given this place a try on 2 occasions. The meat lovers did indeed have a lot of meat but not enough cheese and sauce. The combination had the same problem. The original location in Laguna Hills is much much better. I will continue to go there, but will avoid the Tustin branch. Posted on June 25, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Quite disappointed to say the least..I ordered Chicken Bar-B-Q pizza and what i got was bar-b-q sauce on top of cheese pizza with few pieces of chicken sprinkled on it. No Veggies. The taste was quite bland. May have been spoiled by San Giovani's which i think has a far better Chicken Bar-B-Q. Posted on May 7, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Halal Pepperoni Yum. I have been to this place 3 times now. Good pizza, but could stand for some improvement. Cheese! Cheese! Cheese! its good but scarce. Please stop burning the pizza's. Crust comes out good but the cheese and pepperoni is burnt. Overall better then Giovanies. Great carryout special Mon-Wed ONLY?!? Really why? Made me cancel my order when I tired to order the special on a Thursday. Isn't the point of specials and coupons to drive people to come to you. Fine print of only Mon-Wed drives people away. Side note on Newport Ave within 1 mile there is also a Pizzahut, Little Caesars, Domino's, and Papa Johns! Pizza Faktory don't give up your business to them fix your issues please. ★★★★☆ My wife and I have have eaten here 2 times in the past 2 weeks. The food has been really good and the service was exceptional. The gentlemen working there, answered all our questions and was really helpful.
Italian sub - bread was too hard for me personally, but the meats all tasted good.
Philly cheese steak sub - again the bread was too hard for me personally, but overall the sub was good.
Hawaain pizza - love the turkey ham. its amazing.
The Mexican - the gound beef was a lil over-cooked, and i think the turkey bacon was missing, but still tasted really good. Posted on April 12, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ I went there yesterday excited because I heard about this place from a friend. I used to go to the old pizza place that was here before NY Pizza Faktory, but sadly only ordered cheese as it was not halal. Alhamdolillah, halal pepperoni pizza in Tustin! I was excited. San Giovanni in Anaheim had gotten a little greasy for my taste, so I was happy to try something new.
I was there for a quick pit stop, as I was picking up my dry cleaning which was next door. I got to the counter and ordered, one slice of pepperoni. Wow. It feels so haram to say something like that. I was still nervous, so I asked the guy behind the counter, it's halal right? He said absolutely everything on the menu was halal. Woohoo!
I waited 5 min while he warmed up a slice of pepperoni pizza for me. I got the hot steamy slice of pizza and began admiring it. Well, it was a little burnt honestly. This could have been a rookie mistake, perhaps an anamoly. But it was definitely burnt. I wasn't going to give it back, because it was still edible, and my father taught me well to never waste food. I ate it, and it was still good. It would have been much better if it wasn't burnt though. The pepperoni was excellent, and the dough was a little undercooked. But this place has potential. The sauce was good, and the cheese was great too.
I will come back and give this place another try inshaAllah as I work in the area. Hopefully they can do better next time. I will look forward to regrading them. Posted on March 28, 2012 |
