A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this restaurant. Per March 21, 2011 conversation with co-owner, only beef and chicken are halal.

★★★☆☆ This is a little restaurant that is tucked in the middle of industrial warehouses in the city of Tustin near Irvine, CA. The main draw here is Hookah. That is why 80% of the patrons sit outside while they smoke their favorite flavored Hookah. Prices are a bit on the high side and the food is just average. I have tried them about 3 times and wouldn't recommend them for food only. If you plan to gather with your friends, spend hours smoking Hookah, while loudly discussing politics, sports and screaming & shouting to your heart's content, without anybody else raise an eyebrow, this is the place for you. I have tried their Philly Cheese Steak a couple of times as per recommendations and found it just average. I have had better halal Pilly's almost everywhere else that I have tried them. Food may not be too flavorful but it is plenty in quantity, so you won't come back hungry. Service is decent but the prices are a bit high considering the ambiance and the quality of food. ★★★☆☆ You have to ask what is halal here. I had their lunch combo and it was okay. Posted on October 9, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ After reading some if the reviews decided to visit this place. You could miss this place if you're not looking for it so pay attention. A lady was standing behind the register with her handbag around her neck! The place looked dated and more attuned to a roadside cafe but probably ok for lunch. The philli cheesesteak and chicken weren't too bad. The kofte kebab was so-so. Will hi back again but not in a hurry. Posted on May 29, 2014 |

★★★☆☆ Simple and clean place. However, they serve two kinds of meat: Halal (No Pork) and Zabiha Which is the official Halal meat. Personally, I am not comfortable with this play on words so make sure you ask for Zabiha. Helpful staff . Posted on June 17, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Assalamu 3leikum,
I don't think the writer underneath me know what I am saying. I never said anything regarding whether the owner says or not say something is HALAL, but the fact of the matter is that not ALL products they sell are HALAL (thus, I stated that the establishment uses non- halal products) Now, what is more daunting or the specific problem with this establishment is that the COOK (Arabic speaker) and the co-Owners (wife and husband) do not agree on what it is the definition of HALAL. I recall very clearly even now after months of me stop going to that establishment that the COOK (Arabic speaker) told me very clearly that he believed ALL products (including the Turkey which the Owner states that they are NOT HALAL) is HALAL because "there is no Pork in them" according to what he said. Now, if this is your definition of what is HALAL Mr. Munay then I hope you get hold of the Imam in that Mosque you say the people come after Friday and ask what is Dhabihah Halal mean. ★★★★★ This place is excellant. The post under me is really incorrect. The owner states whats halal and whats not and he is completly honest he says if theirs no halal he will say. He serves both kinds and he has a certificate posted on his wall to see visible everything is visible to you.
My favorites are the philly chicken and the philly steak that is served in halal.
A lot of customers come on friday after the prayers its walking distance from the tustin mosque. Posted on December 12, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ Assalamu 3leikum, this post to warn that the establishment uses non- halal products, but the bad part is that the lady on the counter and the Arabic cook (probably related) have different concept what halal is, and latter believes it's halal as long is not pork. But, worst part is that Arabic lady on the counter (maybe part owner) after telling me everything is halal (Zabihah) except for the Turkey asked his Latino cook whether the Hamburger which I just ordered over the phone was "Halal." After some internal discussion between the Arabic and Mexican Cook in the kitchen the order came out. I know from previous conversation with the Arabic cook that he told me specifically that everything is "still halal in the menu (including Turkey) because no pork in it, so it is halal." I would just stick with Falafel in this restaurant or take your chances with who's understanding of Halal (Arabic lady or the cook) is the meat. Posted on October 18, 2011 |

★★★★★ Been there twice now, and definitely going there again. Had the Phiily Cheese steak sandwich, and the minute you sink your teeth into that soft hoagie bun, with the juices of the meat dripping down your mouth, you know you've just died and gone to heaven.
soo soo gooood! Their thick cut fries are really good too! Posted on July 13, 2011 |

★★★★☆ I've been here a couple of times. The only dish i liked was their steak sandwich, besides that kafta kabob and grilled chicken are strictly ok. Posted on July 2, 2011 |

★★★★★ Great sandwich place with many choices on the menu. Except for a couple of items (eg Turkey), everything else is Halal. They are in a local business neighborhood, and as such, are only open for lunch (no dinner), and closed on Sundays. Posted on May 22, 2011 |

★★★★★ I went there a couple times with my friends and they have great customer service. The food is wonderful and I'm so glad to find a delicious place that serves halal meat. Its also very close to the Tustin masjid - walking distance, which is very convenient for Friday prayers! :-) I recommend the philly chicken sandwich! Posted on April 4, 2011 |
