★★★☆☆ We like the food here but we avoid going to thus place for two reasons....first for money you pay portions are very small..when me and my wife go we have to order 3 dishes just fill us....so basically expensive....secondly the time it takes to get your good or even severs attention will test your patience...so slow very slow service. ★★★☆☆ Food prices are ridiculous for such a small place. The prices are more expensive than Silverspoon. It was the first time I went and after seeing the prices I only ordered a wrap (which was also overpriced).
Good service, clean place. Prices however a way expensive. Posted on April 23, 2012 |

★☆☆☆☆ Aslaam-Alay-Kum,
To whom this may concern. This restaurant at one point many years ago was a well known, well maintained, and has exceptional food. This is NOT the case any longer. I advised a co-worker to this restaurant with the assumption that it had maintained its quality, and of course once I heard how bad his experience was I couldn’t have been more embarrassed. The service upon arrival was horrible “I was standing there for a while, no one acknowledged my presence even though I said hello many times, while they looked at me and continued there work”. The second was the horrifying smell “The smell was so bad that, 2 Indians left the store and gasped on the way out” Lastly the food was not good at all “I spent $40+ dollars on chew old lamb meat, and the Nihari was all oil and nothing else”. Although the food quality, service, and atmosphere, were horrible, the lady I finally spoke with to place my order was nice. If someone knows the owners they should be spoken to about this service if they would like to stay in business I suggest a serious renovation in terms of food quality, service, and atmosphere.
far.islam was spot on.

★★☆☆☆ I went there once and that was enough.. ordered butter chicken and thats exactly what was served.. there was an inch of butter then there was some uncooked masala and chicken... i am surprised this restaurant is still around... Posted on November 10, 2006 |

★★★☆☆ has anyone tried their Hunter Beef? Posted on November 18, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Excellent "Chicken B-I-R-Y-A-N-I", I got them to cater for a small get together, and their service was excellent, they even gave us complimentary KHEER SWEET-dish. Which was also very tasty and very generous of them. Sorry to say but if you in Canada - and you are getting a taste of DESI food..count it as a blessing...aight! Cuz I remember Toronto/Scarborough once being without HALAL or Desi restaurants close by!!! Posted on August 7, 2005 |

★★★☆☆ The food at this restaurant used to be good! The service has gone downhill. They should think about higher quality of utencils and plates. Overall, the quality of food is good. However, the atmoshpehere and service is lousy. I would recomend air freshners! Posted on March 17, 2004 |

★★★★☆ Excellent tasting food at the rock bottom Tandoor (Pakistan) prices. Don't like their styrofoam serving plates and pan eating cashier. Posted on December 22, 2003 |

★★★☆☆ Food is good but don't go there after 9:00PM because they give whatever they have. white rice with not enough masalah or without chicken. Posted on November 13, 2003 |

★★☆☆☆ The quality of food served at this place has really gone downhill in the last couple of years. When I first ate at this place about two years ago, the food was really, really good. These days the quality of food that they serve is a gamble: you never know when the food is going to be decent or completely unedible (on more than a couple of occasions I have been unable to eat their take-out Nihari). I only recommend going to this place when they are somewhat busy, otherwise all bets are off. Posted on December 31, 2002 |

★☆☆☆☆ "Just an *update*. This place sux now! The last time I went there, it was fairly decent, but it's *horrible* now. The prices are way tooooo high! Service ain't good and on top I'm a bit suspicious about their food now. We ordered two Haleem and it was sooo weird. To me, it felt like I'm having wool coated with Haleem colour. Back in Pakistan, I remember hearing that some of the shops use wool and other stuff in haleem to make it look thick and good and all. I'm quite sure that Pakwanchi's doing the same now. I swear, it wasn't haleem! and I'm *not* going to eat there again!" Posted on December 29, 2002 |

★☆☆☆☆ This place used to serve good tasting pakistani food but my mind has changed now. Recently I went in with my family and ordered haleem. It looked really really 'gooey' and there was waaaaaay too much oil in it. I took a few bites and it felt like I was eating cotton. I suspect that they added it as many pakistani people do. It was nasty. I never want to go back there again. The place also smelled bad when I entered. Getting some air freshners is not a bad idea. Posted on December 29, 2002 |

★★★☆☆ The food is really delicious but their seating arrangement is poor and not organized. I think they are more interested in take-out and catering. They don't give much attention to dine-in customers. Posted on December 28, 2002 |
|
|
★★★☆☆ The place was swarming with flies,God knows how hygienic their kitchen is,I dont even think they wash their hands.YOU DONT EVEN GET A PLATE OR GLASS,service is lousy, but you do get free flies.Dont ever buy the chicken tikka, all I got was 6 small pieces of chicken and a lot of chutney. ★★★★☆ "They do catering for a relatively competitive price. I used their catering services for a number of large events. They used to give a minor discount for Muharram majlis tabarruks, but I know that management has recently changed, so we'll see next year. Their food's good. Its South Asian and well prepared, but they could do with being more organized. Sometimes it takes forever to get served." Posted on September 20, 2002 |
