★★★★☆ Pros:
- The people at the service are most probably Pakistani Muslim, they can speak URDU and reply to my salam.
- Halal label on the door, which is visible from outside
- Price is very competitive (Biriani for only 5 EUR)
- Complementary tea
Cons:
- Not a family like environment
- Perhaps a bit far from the main city
- "Lal dow patta" type old hindi music was playing, they reduced the volume on request but didn't stop
- The phone number enlisted didn't work
- Sitting space is small (15-20 people)
Others:
If you miss south asian tea stall type environment where friends gather and gossip, this place would actually make you feel like home. I in fact, got surprised to see a bunch of young people from India and Pakistan gossiping in a very friendly mood. It reminds me of home.
Note: These guys told me there are few other halal restaurant as well as mosques in the city. But I have no clue where they are. Posted on March 29, 2014 |
