★☆☆☆☆ This was the worst food I have ever had!!!! This is not Pakistani by any means...we were in Seattle for few days and ended up here on out last day while visiting the needle...oh boy the place is sticky and icky ...the bathroom was literally overflowing to the outside ...they had an out of order sign posted but had the door opened ..I ended up going to the next door restaurant to use the bathroom ..ok now to the food ...we ordered tandoori chicken and chicken korma...omg it was Soo bad the chicken had a smell and was half cooked...as another reviewer said before the only good thing was the roti ...which was fresh other than that both dishes had some smell to it...we didn't eat anything ...it's over priced too we ordered one chicken tandoori and chicken korma and white rice with roti ...the total came out $50 ... obviously people who have given this place any good review they have no clue what good food taste like...this is not pakistani ...save your money and go to Dewan e khas restaurant instead!!!! ★☆☆☆☆ We went to this place on Dec 25 for lunch buffet as most places were closed as we were passing by the Seattle area. Buffet food was horrible and I am ashamed to call this Pakistani food. They had French fries & mixed colored vegetable rice on the buffet. Rest of the food had no taste and below standard. Owner was away and the person running the place had an attitude. There was no place to pray and overall ambiance doesn’t exist. They need to hire a chef that knows how to cook authentic Pakistani food. Posted on December 29, 2013 |

★★★★★ We dropped in for dinner while visiting from Vancouver, BC. The reviews are (sadly) mixed but our experience was very positive. We ordered butter chicken, tandoori chicken, paneer tikka masala, chicken biryani and vegetable jal frezi. All were very good, and the service was friendly and good. We recommend! ★★★★★ Last month my wife and i were visiting Seattle. We were craving for Pakistani food and I saw this on Zabiha site. 5 miles from hotel. Excellent food, service and place. There Karahi Chicken with buttered bread was out of this world. Can't wait to go back. Good job guys! And Thanks !! Posted on June 26, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Reading all the reviews, I still ventured into the place for dinner.
I ordered Goat Karahi with naan. Knowing the taste very well, I must say that it was nearly authentic and delicious.
The place wasnt your high end fine dining but not necessarily a dive either and was bustling with people. The waiter was very courteous and asked constantly if everything was OK.
I would say that I skipped going to Alladin next door, and it was a good decision. I came out full and happy. Posted on April 29, 2013 |

★★☆☆☆ This place is an embarrassment to all Pakistani and Indian ethnic cuisines. Their buffet made us feel ill...I've eaten at some bad places and THIS place tops them ALL! This place needs to shut down or give it to someone who knows how to run a food business. It said that it was a ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET, but in all honestly they were so stingy that they didnt even refill the buffet selection at all. I literally had to beg the manager to refill the meat dishes but he just scolded at me and brought back TWO PIECES of chicken. So please I am asking you ALL to go somewhere else and support businesses that are truly worth it and not this so called "Halal" establishment where their food tasted old and rotten. As for now I can only wish that more, better establishments will come about...its only a matter of time! Posted on January 6, 2013 |

★☆☆☆☆ This is one of the worst restaurants you can go to now. The quality of the food has gone down considerably. This is no longer a value price restaurant, the only thing cheap is the area it is in, there is no parking and place is dirty inside. All items in menu over priced for the taste. Not worth it to go here anymore.

★★★★☆ Good food, maybe not the best desi food ever, but it is definitely worth the price. Posted on March 8, 2011 |

★★★☆☆ Let's begin by saying I am a fair and balanced reviewer who unlike some of the reviewers on this page do not have a stake in this company.
First off, the prices at Garam Masala are quite fair compared to other restaurants. Portions are fair and the food is not catered to Indian food newbies.
The Biryani at Garam Masala is sort of inconsistent. On a couple of occasions the food is spot on , while at other times it may not be so palletable. Order your biryani and dont give them carte-blanche for overspicing it.
For those who are considering purchasing food here, its definitely worth giving a chance. Enjoy! Posted on October 16, 2010 |

★★★★☆ decent prices, good halal food for the area. we ordered fish pakoras (which were ok), chicken kabob (again, just ok), chicken tandoori (was good), bhoona gosht (excellent) and naan and plain rice. owners were very nice and gave us free chai. good location for university students/visitors. ★★★★★ This is one of the most authentic Pakistani or desi food places I have eaten in the US during my all travelling around US. I tried it for few times when I was visiting Seattle from Dallas and I found the food awesome. I found the taste of food closest to the taste I used to have back home specially the Chicken Tikka. The owners are very nice recommend you the food as per your taste. The prices are also fairly low. I would highly recommend to give it a try if you are in Seattle area. Posted on November 11, 2009 |

★★★★★ Perfecting the taste for your Pocket
The newest addition to a bunch of desi restaurant on the Ave in U-District of Settle is GARAM MASALA. You feel the heat of garam masala as you enter this restaurant. The vibrant golden mustardy colored interior mixed with the aroma of desi cooking is inviting. The huge menu board behind the counter with around 100 item will make you even happy when you see the prices. To top it all when you take a bite of your food you relies this is it… This is the place I have been waiting for. Garam Masala’s offerings are simple each ontray is served with a plate of Basmati rice cooked with slight spices to perfect the taste. The most inexpensive item on the menu is Chicken Tandoori (a chicken leg quarter tikka) for $2.99 . It is juicy and perfectly cooked in a tandoor. The taste reminded me of Tikkas I have eaten back home. If you are interested in healthier white meat order the Chicken Tikka (a quarter chiken breast ) for a dollar more. Tandoori item is not served with rice but you can get a naan for only a dollar more. I have been struggling to get the right taste of Karahi. Here the taste is close to perfect. Both chicken & mutton Karahi came very close to the taste back home with the right amount of chopped ginger, chilies and cilantro. Have it with hot naan from the clay oven; baked to perfection. The butter chicken ordered was also creamy with sweet buttery taste with pieces of boneless chicken first grilled in tandoor and then mixed with the sauce to blend in the taste. Basmati rice complimented the taste. Chicken boti is another item I fell for the tender perfectly marinated pieces of chicken is grilled to perfection in the tandoor. The taste is real Pakistani. Garam masala has variety of dishes to cater to every taste. They have a good selection of vegetarian and non-veg food.
The owner, Shahid Anis, how I have know for long said, “he has been looking to open a restaurant for a long time.” “This opportunity came along and he grabbed it”. His idea is to have a clean setting with affordable and delicious Pakistani food. He also said, “I only server what I would eat”. He guarantees all meat served is had slaughtered zabiha halal.
Try Garam Masal today you will be happy to find a place that caters to your taste as well as your pocket! Posted on October 12, 2009 |
