★★☆☆☆ I was a regular customer at this place, the food used to be a hit specialy Chilli Chicken and Sweet and Sour Fish, however since few months the taste is not upto their standard. Service is Horrible , they bring the food one by one istead all at once. Posted on March 11, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I went there once and when I saw the liquor at the back, I stopped going there ever since. Muslims should not go to restaurants where alcohols are being served. The owner is not even Muslim, god knows what they are doing in the kitchen. Posted on December 20, 2012 |

★★★★★ been going to this place for the last 14-15 years. the way luckys has held on to my bussiness is by beeing very consistant. there are many hakka/indian places but this place is one of the best. if not THE best one. Love the chilli chicken, fish masalla, wings, springrolls and all the other classics. Posted on January 30, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have much doubt that this place is halal, and even if it is I'd avoid it because of the alcohol, and because its avoided by the majority of local muslims. Eat at your own risk. Posted on August 9, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ The portions are generous, food is good & spicy, but the dishes are inconsistent. If you go within an hour of closing, you'll most likely get overdone stale chicken from the day. Unfortunately, like most non-muslim owned Hakka places, alcohol is served and the zabihah meat is questionable. Posted on August 3, 2010 |

★★★☆☆ I agree very gressy food, but good. Posted on June 5, 2009 |

★★★☆☆ Tasty, but quite oily. And for the prices they charge, one should expect white meat for chicken though. Posted on January 26, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ Not sure if this place is genuinly halal. I called a while back and the Owner, who is a muslim, informed me that Lucky's only get's approx. 50lbs of chicken and beef from them a week. Other times, I have received mixed answers suggesting they supply all the meat there. This place seems a bit shady. I have doubt about places that claim to be halal, but are not willing to disclose their halal source, or are hostile when asked about their halal authenticity, and or serve alcohol. It just seems like places like Lucky's, which I have had personal experience with over some time, are not serious about halal! Posted on August 13, 2008 |

★★★★★ The best Halal Hakka Restaurant in Canada. Posted on February 19, 2008 |

★★★★☆ Good food and big portions for the price. Try the chicken noodles. Posted on December 22, 2007 |

★★★★☆ By far, the best hakka place in GTA. Try the chilli chicken .... Only negative of this place is that the food is greasy and a little cramped. Posted on December 13, 2007 |

★★★★☆ The food here is pretty good. Chicken Pakoras were good, but a little spicy. The sweet and sour chicken balls were okay, I have had better. The kung pao shrimp and the 3 meat noodles were both pretty good. Also ordered the crispy beef, which was good, but a little too oily. I agree that they should not serve alcohol, but I dont think the owner's are Muslim. They just serve Halal meat to cater to the Muslims. So we should support these type of places as well, because they really don't need to have Halal meat. Posted on July 6, 2007 |

★★★★★ This branch is cozier than their other one, as its smaller. Another thing I liked better is you dont feel the cold draft. Apart from that, food is excellent. They may follow the same recipe but their chilly chicken tastes much better than at the other branch. Its also less crowded. Service is very fast, chicken pakodas are amazing. One of the only places in Scarborough where I found chicken wontons to actually have some chicken in it. Chicken corn soup is delicious, staff is very friendly. We ordered 6 items and bill came up to $42, I guess its not bad for the quantity and quality that you get. Posted on December 19, 2006 |

★☆☆☆☆ I don't understand why muslims go here..if you are Deeni and truly care about halal/haram then stay away from restaurants that sell liqour. because if the owner of the restaurant is comprimising between halal and alcohol then he doesn't care much about what Muslims want(which is 100% halal food no ifs and buts)Don't fool yourselves. ★★★★☆ Was longing to find a second option to Lin Garden(Pharmacy/Sheppard) for Hakka Chinese food, and the search ended at Lucky's. The food in some cases is better than Lin, especially the fried noodles with chicken, beef and shrimp. The ginger chicken, chilly beef and manchurian chicken fried rice were much, much better than what I've had in the scores of Hakka restaurants around the GTA. Like Lin, they do serve alcohol. Service is fast and efficient. At the end of the meal, there is a nice touch when they serve you slices of orange(free) which cools down your palate after the spicy stuff. Recommended!! ★★☆☆☆ this place has gone downhill...the taste certainly isn't the same as it was a few yrs back...and i'm not 2 comfortable with them selling liquor either, so i've stopped going there completely... Posted on October 7, 2005 |

★★★★★ Honestly, this is one of the best chinese restaurants that I have ever been too. It's spicy and very delicious, especially their chilli chicken and the service is excellent as well. I am glad it's halal :) Posted on August 7, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Really good food and I enjoy the chicken dishes. I do believe they sell liquor so that may be a turn off for some. Posted on August 2, 2005 |
