★★★★☆ The Shwarma reminds me of the average Egyptian or Dubai based street Shwarma- by which I mean I love it! The staff are nice, polite, and always having fun (so it's enjoyable to eat there or wait for take out). I've never waited longer than 5-10 minutes. The staff state that all the food is halal and their kabobs are handmade. Posted on April 15, 2016 |

★★★☆☆ The food was good, but the environment was not that of a Muslim restaurant. Unfortunately there are not many choices in this area. The workers are all non-Muslim teenage girls wearing shorts. The owner is the middle eastern looking guy with his arm around the teenage girls in the pictures on the wall. The only reasoning believed them when they said it is halal is that it appears there clientele is mostly non-Muslim so they don't have much reason to lie. But if I pass by again I may just go to the taco bell across the street. Posted on March 20, 2012 |

★★★★☆ This place is slightly above average. Falafael is okay and Chicken Fajita was good. Frys are great. Posted on October 2, 2009 |

★★★★☆ I use to go here all the time in my 4 years of undergrad at UC Santa Cruz. It is decent place with decent service....the place is kind of small and the seating is limited but still a good place worth going to if you are in the Santa Cruz area. Food is great. Posted on August 24, 2009 |

★★☆☆☆ I ate at this place last weekend. Well, the food was not bad. I have not asked if the chicken/beef ware halal because I felt I cannot trust them! So I ordered falafel. Their major problem is that they do not use gloves when they prepare the food :( Posted on July 1, 2009 |

★★★★☆ This place is only 10-15 minutes away from the Boardwalk. The meat combo plate is pretty good. The Cheeseburger is the best. Owner is very friendly and told us that all the meat is Halal. Only problem is they only take cash. I Definitely recommend to check this place out when you are in Santa Cruz. Posted on February 20, 2007 |

★★★★☆ 'Falafel of Santa Cruz' on Mission Street near the UC campus offers halaal beef and lamb gyros. i think the chicken is supposed to be kosher. Most of the food is between $5-10. Posted on October 13, 2003 |
