The menus at this restaurant clearly state that Halal food is served.
NR The hours listed on Zabihah appear to be incorrect. Also, there's no voicemail greeting to let customers know what the cart's hours are. I walked my 6-yr old 8 blocks in the June afternoon to this place, only to hear from passersby that the cart is "apparently absent today".
Will try it out someday, in-sha-Allah, but for now my feedback is that Mr. Agha should at least add a voicemail greeting to his phone number, announcing hours of business. Posted on June 10, 2014
★★★★★ Love this Place! Have picked up food more then twice and the quality is consistent..the Chicken over rice is good and you can ask the brothers for extra spicy if ur a desi and love it hot... the gyro is just as good and value for money..the only negative is the parking which is an issue in sj downtown unless you went school to sjsu here, like i did, and can find convenient street parking around williams/reed and walk over..the brothers do a fantastic job and its great to have such an amazing option in the bay area... ★★★★★ Halal meat is served here per signs on the cart and the owners are known Muslims. Finally a Halal Food Cart in the Bay Area comparable to those you find in NYC! I tried both the lamb and chicken gyros (on different days) and they are both great! A lot of meat in the gyro sandwich and the flavors are excellent! Very friendly service with great prices ($7 for a gyro sandwich and a soda can or water bottle). I have to try the Chicken and Rice plate next. Highly recommended. Posted on October 24, 2013
