NR This place's Halal status is suspicious. I called and asked about if the meat served is zabihah halal. The guy didn't even know what zabihah means. Then I asked about the place they buy their meat from and first he said, restaurant depot. Then he said, we also buy meat from Saad and Dearborn. Don't know which is true. Why would a restaurant buy meat from three places, somethings fishy, I won't go there unless manager or owner clearly verifies where they get the meat from and what meat products are zabihah halal. ★★★★★ We have eaten here a few times. This place has the best ambiance in town for an Indian restaurant. presentation is really good. I love there mughlai paratha, butter chicken. ★★★★☆ My wife and I have eaten here twice. It recently opened back in January 2010. The food was good. The atmosphere is very nice and downtown royal oak is trendy and this place fits with the neighbourhood. The service is really good, they check on you frequently and accomodate your requests.
