NR Assalam o alaikum. Went to red tomato. You can find pretty much all your grocery there and they make fresh bread in the tandoor. I do wish they keep the place a bit more clean. Apart from that its a blessing to have a halal place close by. Posted on November 1, 2015 |

★★☆☆☆ Today I made my 30 mile drive to buy halal meat and halal cold cuts. The last time I got cold cuts from there, the pastrami went bad in a couple of days. I thought it was a fluke. Well, when I went to the deli, I noticed the pastrami had an expiration date of 9/13/13 and it had barely been used. So, I asked for the smoked turkey. Fortunately, the girl had to open a fresh package. When I asked about the date, she couldn't find. No big deal as it hadn't been opened. I wanted the black forest turkey ham but there was no date on it and she refused to open a new package. So I took my turkey and moved on to the butcher. Here, I wanted some beef ribs. I got my ribs and then I noticed something... the ribs were packaged, thawed and the use/freeze/sell by date said MAY 18 2013!!!!!! They are selling old meat! I am getting to the point where I don't trust most of these "halal" meat markets. I mentioned this to the cashier and she just said, "OK". Like, really... just "OK"? In the future, I am going just spend the extra money and buy from Midamar Halal online or buy Kosher. Posted on September 13, 2013 |

★★★★★ I went there for the first time on a Sunday in September, both shopping there and eating lunch. The falafel sandwich was huge and delicious. Their prices and quality are excellent for produce and just about everything else there. This is almost a one-stop shopping trip for me...Alhamdulillah. Posted on November 20, 2012 |

★★★★★ I go to Red Tomatoes regularly for all my halal meat needs, as well as a lot of my produce needs. The store is always clean and busy, and the staff are always friendly. It is true that not ALL the meat is halal, but I have found this at numerous other halal meat markets in So Cal, and don't think this is a reason to reduce the rating of this market. Rancho Cucamonga, specifically, and the IE in general, needs a large, clean, one-stop shop like this, and it is our duty as local residents to support this business. They do a great job, and I enjoy shopping here. Posted on February 2, 2012 |

★★★★★ Food is very good, workers are friendly and fast. They make fresh bread on the premises and also have a variety of vendors. They have a large halal meat selection and it's always been good every time I've went. Alhamdulilah! Posted on December 31, 2011 |

★☆☆☆☆ I was so happy to hear the recommendation from a sister at the masjid of a market with halal meat but was very disappointed after shopping at Red Tomatoes Farmers Market in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. I will not buy meat there again. I asked the man working meat counter if they have halal turkeys the man answered "yes" and said he must get from back, he returned with turkey in bag not visible through wrapper. After a 20 mile drive in rain i arrive home, as I am putting groceries away I notice turkey is not Halal, it is free range. I feel certain they know the difference and are intentionally misrepresenting the products, I also purchased beef and lamb. i asked if all the meat was halal, he answered "yes". I asked why some have halal sign and some not, is all halal? again he answered "yes" so I bought enough meat to last a few weeks. After realizing the turkey is not halal i am in doubt about at least half if not all of my purchase. For this reason i give them a very poor rating... nor will I eat in the restaurant after this experience. Unfortunately I did not read above review before shopping and must be more cautious in future. I spent over one hundred dollars and would shop there only for items in original package with halal certification. Posted on November 20, 2011 |
