★★★★☆ Their food is amazing! Best Chinese food in the area. Good size portions! I personally love the Szechuan chicken and chicken lo mein! They have however started adding a tip to the bill on top of tax for the delivery of food to your table. Other than that there is no service. In fact since they started doing this the serving staff really could care less about service since they are getting a tip anyway. Nevertheless their food is great! Posted on June 22, 2013 |

★★★★★ Probably the best Halal Chinese restaurant in the tri state area. The food is excellent and authentic as authentic as American Chinese food is. The portions are over sized and it's cheap. The places isn't much to sit in and as it's primarily a take out place but great food. This is where they ended up after they closed up the Grand Avenue location. Too bad they don't have a Long Island location. This place fills up a lot during dinner so just be prepared. It's worth the wait. They take cash only but have an ATM on-premises. They have been consistent from the day that they have opened. One pro trip is to go during lunch - you can get the same dinner specials or $5-6. My favorite restaurant hands down! ★★★★★ Excellent halal and authentic Chinese food! They take reservations. It is a medium sized restaurant with seating for about 30 people. Parking is usually available in nearby streets. You will have to look for it, and it may be a few blocks away. Posted on June 19, 2018 |

★★★★★ Authentic delicious halaal Chinese food in the heart of Astoria. Fast service, reasonable pricing and decent seating arrangements but as with any establishment in NYC, parking is non-existent. Sensational variety and fabulous tasting Chinese cuisine. The food quality is superb and it is not masked as fusion food (i.e. desi Chinese) - authentic style food from the orient. Would highly recommend for those who have an affinity for this type of cuisine, as it is well worth a try. Posted on February 17, 2014 |

★☆☆☆☆ I have been going to these owners since they were at their old location. The last 2 times i went, they gave us half the amount of food in the dishes. Also, they charged us tip and on top of that a service charge (which is the same thing)... My last experience was absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I ordered the "dinner for 8 take out". as we were having family friends over. When i got home (45 mins drive) and opened the bags, the plastic food boxes were half empty and they were missing 2 things from my order(which i paid for). They have become very rude and cheap. It was very upsetting because we had guests over. DONOT GO TO THIS RESTAURAANT!! Posted on May 29, 2013 |

★★★★☆ Ok, I will be as nice as possible with this review. Fatima's Halal has as good chinese food as anyone, and the best Halal chinese restaurant in New York. However, Friday, May 3, I ordered from Fatima's Halal, and it was delivery. The order took 90 minutes!!!!!
I was infuriated! I ordered 9pm, the food reached my friend's apartment 10:30! We had tickets to see Iron Man 3 for 11:00, one person stayed behind with her infant son. I called Fatima's around 9:55 to please hurry up or I'll cancel the order. They said 5 minutes. 20 min later, no food. Called, and cancelled the order. They were crazy busy that night, and I spoke to Fatima personally, she was very sorry, offered a discount, I said no, the discount is not the issue here, 90 minutes waiting for food is not acceptable. I told her someone should have told me that it was going to take long or else I cold have picked up the food myself. They were sorry, but I told her everyone was hungry, we went to the movie theater without eating anything but popcorn. They came to the apartment ringing the bell for almost 10 minutes. I told Fatima tell your delivery person to go back and stop ringing the bell, the baby was getting cranky.
So altogether is Fatima's a great halal chinese restaurant? Yes. Great food? Yes. However, 90 minutes delivery time was unacceptable. I urge anyone that does delivery from Fatima's, please ask them how long it will take to order! Because if they are really busy, they will have a hard time getting to the door with your food. But because Fatima was very sorry about what happened, I give this place an above average. One bad experience cannot take away that this place has great food. Just have to make sure how long their delivery to your door will take. Posted on May 12, 2013 |

★★★★★ The best Halal Chinese restaurant in NYC. Believe me when I say that been to many of them and they are the best! Pepper steak, kung pao chicken, chicken with garlic sauce, hunan chicken, and their hot and sour soup are all excellent. The chicken wings are awesome! Go during lunch special for the best deals! ★☆☆☆☆ I must admit the food was pretty good but their service is horrible. While I was there, a kid accidentally dropped his food on the floor and one of the waiter proceeded towards the boys father to hit him but fortunately another waitress held the waiter. Since that, I never went back. Posted on February 18, 2012 |

★★★★☆ Very good solid tasting Chinese joint. I recommend. Food was fresh, hot, spicy and delicious. The soups are very good too! We were visiting a friend in Long Island for dinner and I convinced everyone to meet up here instead. Everyone agreed that this place was above average. I will definitely come back here next time I'm in NYC. Posted on December 30, 2010 |

★★★★★ Fatima's Halal Kitchen is one of the greatest Halal restaurants I've ever been to. It was a spur of the moment decision to go their with my friends but so rewarding. The restaurant is tucked away within the borough of Queens and to the unaware eye it just looks like your run-of-the-mill oriental eatery. Step inside and you will find an amazingly clean and beautiful restaurant. The tables are immaculate and pretty and there is sofa and chair seatings. There is a smallish television tucked into the corner of the restaurant for watching, as well.
The menu offers everything you would want from any Chinese restaurant. This is one thing I love that the restaurant has: authenticity. The managers and operators of the restaurant are obviously Chinese and you can tell by the food that the chefs are as well.
The prices are great. You can eat a substantial dinner for around $10. That's a hot tab for a Halal chinese restaurant. I ordered what I always order at every Chinese restaurant: general tso's chicken. Ballin' decision. It was spectacular. My friend ordered fried beef dumplings and pepper steak. Amazing.
Next time you have that craving for Chinese take my advice and go to Fatima's. These people know what they're doing.

★★★★★ I’m not the most enthusiastic about Chinese food unless it’s done very well, but this place knew how to please. Per a native New Yorker's recommendation, I got the General Tsao's Chicken, extra sweet and extra crispy and I loved it. Definitely will want to hit it up next time I'm in NYC, again. ★★★★★ We ordered home delivery and was delightfully surprised. It came withing 30 minutes as they promised. Food was still hot. And the portions were good size and the price was not expensive at all. I would definitely order from them again and refer it to friends. Posted on July 8, 2010 |

★☆☆☆☆ I didn't enjoy the food. When I got. The food it was cold and had no flavor. Thought it was over rated. Service was even worst. Posted on June 12, 2010 |

★★★★★ Out of all of the halal Chinese restaurants that exist in the vicinity, this is probably the best tasting...Everything is exceptional...From their appetizers to their main entrees...It always tastes fresh....always...
From the appetizers, their chicken wings are REALLY tasty...
From their main entrées, the General Toa's chicken, Kung Pao chicken, Subgum Wor bar, and Mu Shu Beef are really awesome.
The General Toa's chicken is their famous dish and all my friends always order it whenever we go there(usually after every jumu'ah). I switch between General Toa's and Kung Pao Chicken...
Only con that I can think of is that they only accept CASH. NO CREDIT or DEBIT last time I checked. It may be a good things depending how you look at it. Posted on May 22, 2010 |

★★☆☆☆ If you knew what their food tasted like when they were in Maspeth then you'll be disappointed, it's just not as good. If you're getting food to go it's fine, but I don't know if I just went on a day when they were having attitude problems, but the lady behind the counter was very rude. If you have a job where you have to deal with customers, then deal with your issues privately lady. Posted on December 13, 2009 |

★★★★★ I loved the HK in Maspeth for years and this is the same great food with a better ambience. The dinner combinations is one of the cheapest ways to fill your belly with a large variety of excellent tasting food for a very reasonable price. My alltime favorites here: beef on a stick, kung pao chicken, general tsos chicken. Cannot get enough of this place and will be back. Posted on October 27, 2009 |

NR Hi everyone,
My name is Suzanne Ma. I'm a reporter with the Associated Press in New York and I'm writing a story on Chinese Muslims in NYC. I will be going to visit Fatima's later this week to try and meet the owners.
If you are Muslim of Chinese descent, I would love to speak with you. Please contact me - sbma@ap.org. Posted on July 12, 2009 |

★★★★★ I just checked this place out today. Took me some time to find it as the information originally posted here was slightly incorrect.I have edited restaurant section to reflect more accurately the information on their menu page.
On to the review:I was very impressed. Their service was great. I ordered General Tso's Chicken and Chicken dumplings. General Tso's chicken was both crispy and juicy. The portion was generous. I was only able to eat half of it. I highly recommend this place to everyone and definitely plan on going there often. Posted on April 29, 2009 |

NR My husband and I get their food delivered and it always arrives fresh and hot and within a 1/2 hour. Also, I make special requests like ginger and less veggies- etc...and it always comes the way it is ordered. I wish they had a website, as I always order the same thing as I'm not familiar with alot of dishes (ingredients)and hate to take the time of the order taker to describe them to me- and the price is great too. We love their beef dumplings. Posted on April 18, 2008 |

★★★★★ One of the best Halal Chinese restaurants. Posted on April 3, 2008 |

|
★★★★★ Amazing, excellent masha'Allah. Could not believe the quantity of food I got for the low price. They certainly did not skimp on quality either and it was brought out fast. I thought it might be a bit lacking in the decor based on some of these reviews but it is fairly nice, LCD TV and music to keep you entertained while you eat. The cute receptionist mentioned in an earlier review is still there. Posted on February 5, 2008 |

NR This is a great place for halal fast-food chinese. The menu is very exhaustive and the prices are also very cheap (about $7 per person for a 3-course meal.) The ambiance is also nice (large, sit-down area) and the service was also good when I went. The area of Queens that this restaurant is in is very chic, and there are several cafes to go to afterwards for dessert! Posted on January 31, 2008 |
|
|
★★★★★ Excellent Chinese food and in large proportion too. We order delivery and they are fast.I love the Chicken Kao Poa and the Chicken Dumpling. Posted on January 6, 2008 |

★★★★★ After reading all the good reviews, I decided to try it. I was pleasantly surprised just looking at the menu. I couldn't believe that they had an extensive all halal authentic chinese menu. After trying out several of their dishes, I determined this is by far the best halal chinese food i've ever had in New York and at incredible cheap prices. The portions were huge. The staff was friendly. I have a feeling that I'd be a frequent at this one. Posted on December 8, 2007 |

★★★★★ The food and service used to be excellent when they operated the Grand Ave location. We used to visit almost every weekend. And now, it gets even better. Great ambiance, Superb food, and outstanding service. We moved from the NJ/NY metro area over a yr ago and visited last weekend. They were delighted to see us, and us them. They even remembered our favorite dishes, and preferences. Now, that's service! They're really nice people and we wish them the very best with the new place. Do visit...you'll be hooked. Posted on October 10, 2007 |

★★★★★ Excellent Chinese food; very authentic. These are the folks who used to be at Grand avenue. Their lease expired there and they moved here.
I always liked their food; the only halal chinese place that can go toe to toe with the classic No-Pork Halal Chinese Restaurant off of Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn. Each platter has a very large amount of food. Always add +2 people when you get the group platters because they give a ton of food. Posted on August 31, 2007 |
