HALAL SUMMARY
A halal sign is clearly visible on the premises of this restaurant.
★ This is a kiosk located inside terminal 1 of JFK airport serving a mix of Turkish and American fare. There's a sign that states "halal" and the staff verified that at least the chicken was halal. CAUTION: the kiosk also serves numerous variants of PORK. There is no separation of equipment and cross-contamination was observed by this author (shared knives, panini press, etc).
This author reluctantly tried the fajita panini ($11) which is about as bad as airport food gets.
Avoid this place: halal doesn't just mean the meat is zabihah, it also means it's not defiled by pork. This author regrets that he did not throw the panini out. Posted on October 2, 2016
