★★☆☆☆ Unfortunately Portland has very few halal restaurants, and from those most of them are partially halal and/or sell alcohol. I went here knowing the chicken wasn't halal, but I was unaware they also sell alcohol. Had I known I would have avoided it.
When I went they had a buffet which had one lamb dish, and even that was just sauce and potatoes with maybe one or two pieces of lamb. All the veggies dishes were below average taste. I don't think I will come back here. Posted on November 3, 2012 |

★★★☆☆ Only beef and lamb are halaal, chicken is not. I went for the lunch buffet, and the food was just passable. Posted on April 15, 2005 |

★★★★☆ Punjab Sweets offers traditional Indian foods, including an all-you-can eat lunchtime buffet ($4.95, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.), curries, tandoor items and loads of appetizer foods, at very reasonable prices. Spiced lamb, goat, fish, chicken, beef and vegetables all play starring roles. Desserts include mango or coconut ice creams and a rice pudding. Posted on July 10, 2000 |
