★★☆☆☆ Unfortunately Portland has very few halal restaurants, and from those most of them are partially halal and/or sell alcohol. I went here knowing the chicken wasn't halal, but I was unaware they also sell alcohol. Had I known I would have avoided it. When I went they had a buffet which had one lamb dish, and even that was just sauce and potatoes with maybe one or two pieces of lamb. All the veggies dishes were below average taste. ★★★★☆ Punjab Sweets offers traditional Indian foods, including an all-you-can eat lunchtime buffet ($4.95, 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m.), curries, tandoor items and loads of appetizer foods, at very reasonable prices.
